I think its cheating when Mario completes a challenge since he's the only character that has red overalls and is called Mario and no other character has that ability. So to make things more fair Mario should complete all the challenges without being Mario.

This is a neat video but the whole “Steve is cheating due to his unique ability” thing is dumb. Where’s the line then? Peach’s hover? How about Hero’s neutral B? Bowser’s tough guy? Blockless is fun, don’t get me wrong, I just think it’s odd some people think Steve is “cheating”

They should it so that each challenge, Kirby can't inhale Shulk since it would benefit his recovery, and characters suck as link, snake, peach can't use anything to benefit their recovery.

I'm not sure why the fans saying its cheating to ruin the blocks not respect the hard work (1 year) the devolepers took to recode every map to accommodate Steve. Also, if you're really skilled, you can technically do in infinity recovery of young and took links bomb.
At 3:28, the TNT exploded so bad, that the controller was also imppacted by it & most of its battery life was destroyed along with whatever Steve left behind.
I like how more enthusiastic your voice is in the intro also dang that candle one jumping on the tnt reminds me of how people make tnt cannons in minecraft
Ironically, most of the challenge steve can't do is something that actually works in minecraft physics. Climbing out a dirt pit? that's not even a challenge, that's a daily purchase. crossing a gap? you can place dirt blocks on one ledge, and build a bridge across climbing a tree? ok, that one's pushing it, but you can put blocks on trees. The only challenge in this steve legitimately can't do is going under the smash ball.
I can't help but think limiting the amount of TNT is a little unfair sense all of the Links can do it but even without the TNT Steve still did a great job
I bet some of these could be beat with his infinite recovery technique, where placing midair tnt resets your minecart, allowing you another bit of forwards and upwards movement, and then repeating.
Thought of a challenge. I call it the I'ma head out challenge. The goal is for the player to end the game session as quickly as possible by taking their own Stock. Rules: 1.Has to be on omega small battle Field. 2.rule set one Stock, stamina, damage handicap maxed out, with only neutral spirits that give you no buff or Dr buffs besides initial damage 30% only. 3. The other player cannot harm or help the other player lose a Stock in anyway. 4. No custom smash rule set ether like bunny hood, flower, made of metal, etc. Other than that the character can use any tools in their arsenal to take their own stock. Edit: for Steve down-b short hop down air is a quick method that I found. Oh something that's also been bothering me is that you don't Count Pokemon trainer as a separate entity from the three Pokemon they use. You could use the switch mechanic between the three Pokemon to Count for them though as I bet some challenges can be between by using all three Pokemon in tandem. If you do go and use Pokemon trainer like that then a good tip is to remember that using a Pokemon special move cancels the 5 second cool down you get when switching between Pokemon.
Here is the thing about people's complaints is it Steve's ability yes and everything else he uses is his abilities so the other video should not be called cheating even though he can't place blocks in the air, if it's an ability it counts no complaints about that so they say it's unfair they have to remember it's his ability but glad you still did it without blocks.
Do you want to know why no other can place blocks? Because only captain falcon can do falcon punch, only jigglypuff can do rest and sleep. Each character is unique I don’t get that argument.

In my opinion I don't think Steve cheated at all by using his blocks. Because you should be able to use whatever movie you have. I mean should a building block thing is OP but you should be able to use what ever move you can.
Steve's ability cheating isn't exactly cheating, else Shulk shouldn't be able to use his Monado and snake shouldn't be allowed to use his bombs. But if they wanted Steve to act more natural because of the mid-air block placement. You could change the challenge so that "Steve can only place blocks that connect to his previously placed blocks starting from the ground. Also that he CAN place blocks that connect to walls or other surfaces."
