I can sort of believe this, I remember seeing a post online last year in February saying the Switch 2 was going to be launched in March 2025! It's exciting for fans but what I really want is a clue for the next AC game. I personally don't see the point in getting the new console if I can't play my favorites on it! Maybe they will announce new games by the summer?!
This might be an unpopular opinion but I’m so tired of hearing about this console and all the speculation about it. I’m just kinda over it all at this point. Just ready for Nintendo to unveil it so people can make their little videos and we can all collectively move on at least until it’s release😩. Before anyone says anything I know I don’t have to watch videos on it and generally I don’t but I did want to hear what Pat had to say just b/c he doesn’t do speculation videos like everyone else so I was generally curious.

This is so wild! The past year just flew by. In my head the Switch2 is still coming "next year" and is still so far away... but it's not! It's actually getting announced soon?! And maybe even released soon-ish?! I'm so hyped and can't wait! I'm especially curious what launch titles we'll get. I realize those won't be announced this week and that's fine, but I'm still super curious. I'm at least glad it's backwards compatible, so that if the launch titles don't interest me I'll still have plenty of games to play all over again. Now to decide whether I'll transfer my ACNH island over, or keep it on my Switch1 and start another one on the Switch2!
I'm wondering if they will be demonstrating the new functionality with existing and new OG Switch games to promote the console features, including the upscaling, frame rate. DK can show a new casting Download Play equivalent. Metroid Prime 4 can show the IR pointing with anchored gyro / mouse aiming. Force feedback sticks shown by MK8 Deluxe. Weeks later they show dual screen NSO options and other asymmetrical gameplay.
With it being so similar, it makes sense for them to focus on the hardware because that's what I would have to be sold on to get such a similar console

Nintendo really dropped the ball not announcing this thing earlier. With all the leaks that have surfaced, the games are the only thing I’m really looking forward to. I hope they show SOMETHING on the screen 🎇
I'm even more hyped about that upcoming release than I was for the PS5! I think Nintendo is holding back because they have something big planned that hasn’t been leaked yet.

Well I mean Switch announcement trailer was in Oct but it wasn't launched until March 5 months later. So 6 months isn't completely out of the question for Switch 2.
I would love a trailer that gives the hype of Switch 1! When we saw BoTW and Mario it was unreal! A world with a trailer that shows Animal Crossing and a new Mario would be perfection! (We can dream! Haha) Great vid Pat ❤
