Fixing your machines yourself, shows that you can. You guys have skills. Any moron can spend money. Lol, I'm proof of that, every time that I give one of my mates a loan! That's money I'll never see again... I'm glad for your progress and I will continue to be a loyal subscriber. I have a broken back and unfortunately I can't do a lot of the things that I enjoyed before. But watching you guys often makes me laugh, and laughter really is the best medicine. You have all done an amazing job of growing your business, when I started watching, you didn’t even have the workshop/tea room, YOU guys build that, and have been driving to continually improve with every thing you do. The workshop, the de-pollution bay, entry gate, reception, racking, storage, upgrading machines, growing to 3 recovery vehicles. In real world terms you guys are FLYING! Forget the haters, put all your energy into those of us whom support what you are trying to achieve. Let’s face it, you are living the dream! I’ve only recently got into RUclips and love all things automotive came across your channel some months ago so I’ve seen some of your older stuff and up to date videos, I’ve been in motor trade basically from school, I’m 62 but have had to stop work because of arthritis and COPD but I love watching you guys I must spend hours watching you and how hard you work and the team you have around you, I would have loved to have had a chance of working with you but I think some one would get catastrophic knockout 😂😂😂😂 keep up the hard work and idiots out there that say about buying better equipment should shut up stop being jealous of how well you are doing and growing at a good rate, think you all fab, keep doing what you’re doing and don’t get to serious keep it fun

John and James, I don't think there is any need to justify anything you have done in the four years. The progress you have made has been phenomenal not only that, you have done the bulk of the work yourselves AND had the sense to bring in experts when needed. I am not so sure about people being "haters" I think most subscribers, like myself watch because of the feeling that we (whether we deserve it or not) are a part of the BCB big adventure - it's a vicarious thing! Sometimes we put our oar in where we would be wise to be quiet but it's a measure of the respect and liking for two crazy brother and a sister who are making things move, certainly not 'hate'! I know it was tongue in cheek when, you said about the "steps"; "If you don't like the breakages, don't watch the channel!" "I've quoted Lao Tse before " A journey of a thousand miles begins with but one step"; you just put you finger bang on it; Lao Tse never said they would be easy steps after that first one! What you said about smaller steps makes so much sense and if people didn't ENJOY the channel, they would not watch and anyone who watches has got to admire what you do and the way you bring most of the guys who work with and for you along as a team. You made that baler pay for itself, you've nursed it and cursed it, and we who watch nursed and cursed it along with, you like we did with the giant claw thing a couple of years ago that kept falling apart in different places, because you asked , "Like, subscribe, and get involved" so we did, and we enjoy every minute that we see and still 'stick our oar in', sometimes when discretion might be more politic. Hi everyone, please not I will be committed to commenting going forward. Loved this episode as it highlighted many things I wasn't aware of how a modern day breakers works from day to day. Good to see some greasing the bearings and pins. I see so many who don't have to for the bill for the actual repairs just not bother......or was going to do it next week ....then "bang" ..... BCB boys n got, absolutely no hatred intended but when a job needs doing it needs doing right first time .( Experience talking) it’s our way of communicating especially when you ask us to !!! The few jobs you’ve had cobbled together by “The mechanic/ welder” won’t last unless his piston hammer gets lost and he can’t help out again 😂 No hatred boys n girls we love what you do apologies if harm was done . Ignore the people who are slagging you off boys, I worked for a firm who never bought new gear, always second or 22nd hand. These machines did the job, and if they broke down , we fixed them. Working like that taught ne a lot on repairs etc on diggers , cranes dumpers and everything else. Was the hardest and best job I had. So keep up the good work, you should be proud of what you have acheived.
You all work so hard . You will soon be looking for a bigger yard . I am very impressed with all the machines you have collected . The only mistake was getting shut off that old grab machine that could be used loading the car into the crusher .... Your vehicles are looking amazing . Look like new trucks ... You need an industrial steam cleaner . Then you could paint the crusher and grab machine..people are only jealous.. Ian Smith
James have different colour tie wraps ,so if you have many hydrolic pipes you can put one colour on each ipe and connector so when leaving it for a few days that the correct pipe ends up on the right place saves more down time. Well done to getting fixed in Sooner.
Hi John, James ,you soon get that bailer working again, and don't listen to the negative feed back , Like you said you have been a LTD business for 4 years you can only get what you can it takes time , years may be you got to buy what you can at a good price and if there is repairs so be it. I definitely think that bailer is one of you best hard working machines you got in the yard and it makes money. This is why I enjoy watching BCB it's all down to hard work and your honesty , the only thing I can see whats going to happen to this business is grow and grow. Haters will hate bud. I run a steel processing yard with millions of pounds worth if equipment and we still get daily breakdowns. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Don't ever feel like ye have to justify yourselves lads. I've never worked in your industry but a pal of mine owns one of the biggest scrap metal facilitates here in Ireland. I've seen him and his family grow it from a small yard to a multi million euro business. Took a lot of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears and he continues to grow it. No reason why ye can't do the same
I love watching you guys. Not just that, you are running a business. The legal requirements, health and safety,not to mention all the stuff that goes on with a business day in, day out. Unless you have a understanding of how businesses operate in whatever field that is,it's still about providing a service, making money, paying your suppliers and staff, and if able to invest in the business. Just a thought boys, but when they design a machine those working parts must be the same used on a variety of other machines. Hydraulic rams are expensive to produce, one would assume that another machine other than a bailer like yours uses the same design of ram.
Yes for sure it’s just trying to find the machine they have come off they are defiantly off something big maybe like a 50 ton loading shovel or a huge excavator but there is no numbers anywhere and having the down time trying to find another ram wasn’t a option so we had to get the current one repaired however we are looking for replacements as spares !

Hopefully that ram shaft is not the bent and could be sorted but if that eye was not welded on right it would of bent it worse and the old bailer will last if all the work is done right hows that engine in the new truck after the part rebuild that's wat it's all about favers you help someone out they do it back 👍 but not everyone like that and just out for them self stop stressing about the comments you can do wat you can boys as it takes time build the company up and you have done well so far it's hard work but i would watch who you use to repair the machine and vehicles

Ignore the people who are slagging you off boys, I worked for a firm who never bought new gear, always second or 22nd hand. These machines did the job, and if they broke down , we fixed them. Working like that taught ne a lot on repairs etc on diggers , cranes dumpers and everything else. Was the hardest and best job I had. So keep up the good work, you should be proud of what you have acheived.

I am very impressed with all the machines you have collected . The only mistake was getting shut off that old grab machine that could be used loading the car into the crusher .... Your vehicles are looking amazing . Look like new trucks ... You need an industrial steam cleaner . Then you could paint the crusher and grab machine..people are only jealous..

James have different colour tie wraps ,so if you have many hydrolic pipes you can put one colour on each ipe and connector so when leaving it for a few days that the correct pipe ends up on the right place saves more down time. Well done to getting fixed in Sooner.
Hi John, James ,you soon get that bailer working again, and don't listen to the negative feed back , Like you said you have been a LTD business for 4 years you can only get what you can it takes time , years may be you got to buy what you can at a good price and if there is repairs so be it. I definitely think that bailer is one of you best hard working machines you got in the yard and it makes money. Haters will hate bud. I run a steel processing yard with millions of pounds worth if equipment and we still get daily breakdowns. Keep doing what you’re doing.

The Scrap yard life is a hard life
Just the way of life with any equipment it will break especially with age and a 3 ton on the yard.
Broken machines are going to happen, l like watching them get fixed.
Don't ever feel like ye have to justify yourselves lads. I've never worked in your industry but a pal of mine owns one of the biggest scrap metal facilitates here in Ireland. I've seen him and his family grow it from a small yard to a multi million euro business. Took a lot of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears and he continues to grow it. No reason why ye can't do the same

I love watching you guys. Not just that, you are running a business. The legal requirements, health and safety,not to mention all the stuff that goes on with a business day in, day out. Unless you have a understanding of how businesses operate in whatever field that is,it's still about providing a service, making money, paying your suppliers and staff, and if able to invest in the business.

Just a thought boys, but when they design a machine those working parts must be the same used on a variety of other machines. Hydraulic rams are expensive to produce, one would assume that another machine other than a bailer like yours uses the same design of ram.
Yes for sure it’s just trying to find the machine they have come off they are defiantly off something big maybe like a 50 ton loading shovel or a huge excavator but there is no numbers anywhere and having the down time trying to find another ram wasn’t a option so we had to get the current one repaired however we are looking for replacements as spares !

That is all you can do is fix the baler otherwise it would be a complete waste of money buying it in the first place
Hopefully that ram shaft is not the bent and could be sorted but if that eye was not welded on right it would of bent it worse and the old bailer will last if all the work is done right hows that engine in the new truck after the part rebuild that's wat it's all about favers you help someone out they do it back 👍 but not everyone like that and just out for them self stop stressing about the comments you can do wat you can boys as it takes time build the company up and you have done well so far it's hard work but i would watch who you use to repair the machine and vehicles
