ML had a more layered main character and he was really good in story of kunning palace. In this drama he was good but writers didn’t give him complexity

Juniper definitely wants to check out The Story of Kunning Palace. Both Zhang Linghe and Wang Xingyue in one drama is a good deal. :)

They let ML and FL become allies too fast but had FL pining for villainous SL too long. She was way too annoying for rewatch
