@44:03 @Hamp is mostly right. A man doesn't have to "afford" his all of his wives. If a man has a wife that makes more money than him he does not have to afford her lol. If she comes with her own car house and money and been paying her own bills the whole time before she met him is not his duty to start paying her bills now because she became his wife lol. In the example you've given, the man is able to "afford" all of these potential wives. Since they come with their own resources and desire to maintain those resources themselves in marriage, they wouldn't affect what the man could afford and would not affect the level of care of any current wives.

Leviticus 18:18 is very specific in its language. You should not take your wives sister to wife in order to anger the first wife and you shouldn't sleep with them at the same time (together). Read the scripture again and watch how it differs in specificity from the scriptures that proceed it.
Also, the law was given to Moses and not yet to Jacob. Even though Jacob was under a law, it wasn't as specific as that given to Moses and the Israeilites.
Lastly, Rachel was promised (betrothed) to Jacob and he worked 7 years for her. The only thing to break that promise would be Jacob not fulfilling his 7 years of work. Laban gave Leah to him deceitfully honoring a tradition and not a law of God. Even though Jacob did not possess the intent to marry Leah, their consummation was a marriage and the 7 years of work now applied to Leah. What then happens to Rachel? The promise still exists and is not broken, only unfulfilled. So the promise was kept, Jacob worked 7 years more, and took his sister wives.
Jacob did not take Rachel to vex Leah nor does Jacob "...uncover her nakedness besides the other..." as each wife had her own tent that Jacob visited.
