@@alduinfryup, I really liked this scene because it showed a LOT of character development from Rtas and how he disliked Arbiter at first but basically became his righthand man. His speeches also go incredibly hard
It's weird seeing R'tas and Thel being a bit confrontational when you remember R'tas served in the Fleet of Particular Justice under Thel when he was supreme commander.
Understandable. It always came across as a vibe check to me.
Is it just me or are the graphics in this version a little too good?
Agreed, they match real life or better and if you haven't seen the entire halo 2 game movie with these graphics watch it
I love it
:3
pvpancakez I wish the elites in halo 5 looked like this instead of the new ones
my god they would be a lot better totally agree
Man the elites sounded and spoke so elegantly in this, it makes the halo 4 and 5 ones sound like discount brutes.
If you have subtitles on around 3:24 you see "I shall slay your decision to the council" :)
1:02
Rtas: Hmmph
Translation: you aight lil nigga
3:33 ay whats good witchu ma nigga
3:53 idk why, but this speech always stuck with me as one of my favourites. I've listened to it 28292929 times and I still feel inspired each time I love it.
Incredible voice, music and scenery.
“We shall grind them into dust” - my nightly prayer
I love the white armor. You just know he high ranking.
Girls locker room: Hey Jessica can you get my bra?
Boys locker room:
This may in fact be the best boys locker room joke ever
LMFAO
I have NEVER laughed this hard at a boy's locker room joke before. Mad kudos
Fax
I love that Blur also added sounds to the Elites, the Arbiter bellowing in frustration at the Heretic 2:04 , the sound of their leathery skin as they move their heads and necks to greet each other 3:33 , and the Arbiter's "oh no" grunts at the approach of a possibly enemy Wraith 5:18
The whole elites special forces angle is really cool. Those first two games were something special back in the day.
I showed this to my dad's girlfriend and she genuinely thought this was from a blockbuster movie
There comes a time in every Halo player's life where they must admit that Rtas and Johnson are the best characters.
Shipmaster they out number us 20 to 1
Shipmaster: then it's a even fight
Rtas is the embodiment of a great leader. He knows how to rally an army.
Really want a cinematic movie to release
This armour suits you, but it cannot hide that mark. - the halo community to the freshly rebranded Halo Studios. I hope the redemption arc works just as well for them as it did for the Arbiter
“I shall relay your…decision to the council”
We all know he wanted to say mistake
"YOU are the Arbiter, the Will of the Prophets, but these are MY elites. Their lives matter to me, yours does not."
"That makes two of us."
Deuteronomy 28:43-44 says: The foreigners living among you will become stronger and stronger while you become weaker and weaker, they will lend money to you but you will have nothing to lend to them. They will be the head and you will be the tail.. If you refuse to listen to the lord your god, and to obey the commands and decrees he has given you, all this curses will pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed. These horrors will serve as a sign and as a warning among you and your descendants forever..
White Christian Americans are the elites being replaced!! OPEN YOUR EYES MY BROTHERS! The jews will lead us all to slaughter!!
That "we shall grind them into dust" just sounds so powerful
I can't get over how good these cutscenes are!!
Man Halo 2 had me rooting for the elites more than the humans
Feel bad for arbiter he had everything stripped from him, his rank his armour, his fleet and even his own name
I love 'Vadum's voice it's so cool
How the Elites are able to speak with that mouth is still a mistery xD
On the blood of our fathers, in the blood of our sons, we swore to uphold the covenant, "even to our dieing breath" that has to be on of the best lines in gaming\ entertainment ever
Ethan Hoover
Those who would break this oath are Heretics, worthy of neither pity, nor mercy!
One of my favorite characters from Halo. I'd also like to take a sec and note how beautiful the soundtrack is.
Would love to hear theses guys talk in there own language
Watch Halo Infinity
Jul'Mdama speaks in Sangheili to Gek'Lhar on the Spartan ops cutscenes. Look up Jul'Mdama on RUclips and you can find his cutscenes with the Sangheili
word word word
Rtas Vadum they sound like shit though
@@stephenking5852 Talking about the halo 2 elites specifically.
Halo 2 anniversary elites always reminds me the velociraptor in Jurassic park
Halo 2 had so many big actors doing voice over work.
Minute 3:45 is me and the boys getting ready to find toilet paper at Costco
I shall relay your... *DECISION* ... to the council.
Such delivery.
Rtas quickly gained back respect for Thel
"You are the Arbiter, the will of the Prophets. But these are my Elites; their lives matter to me, yours does not."
"That makes two of us."
Man they just don't write dialogue like they used to anymore. This exchange hits so hard.
"That makes two of us" I feel like that was underrated even if it's highly praised.
Halo Infinite need him.
4:15 might just be my favorite cutscene in all of halo. Everything is coming to a head and the arbiter and Rtas just show how deeply they are questioning their faith with just their tone and facial expressions.
Oh god his voice!--- I feel like he is a Angel of the gods of the great journey!
Rtas is a true gigachad.
Halo has the best voice acting in video game history imo..
Dude Blur Studios did an outstanding job on these cutscenes, holy crap
The voice drop when Rtas tells Thel that "these are MY elites" always gets me
