You’re going to be a phenomenal FA I could tell mainly from the way you look at things, very positive, optimistic, and you go with the flow of things without letting much get to you, you will be happy you learned these things before you took on this career. Best of luck on your new chapter!
This video helped me so much!! I’m going to training starting April 27th. I am so excited but super nervous too. This video helped me feel a lot more confident because I’ve been watching videos saying how stressful and hard the training is. Thank you so much for this!!
I’m so excited for you! I felt like I watched a lot of those and just wanted people to see the good side too. I’ll be uploading more videos from throughout my journey 🤍
I got sent home bc I measured 4 11 I have a long arm reach, and can reach in the overheads, and close them. they dont care they will send you home. I am a retired Chicago police officer in great shape. Not a pound overweight.
My training starts on the 21st! Super nervous as I have never worked in the aviation industry before. When do they sent the study packets for the first exam? :)
AH I’m leaving for training Monday!!!! I’m so excited and nervous, I’ve been studying your videos to prepare lol. Thanks so much for the information 🤍🤍
hey girl, i just made it to the interview stage for skywest. i have a question about the 32 consecutive day training... is it really consecutive like no weekends off? whats up with the curfew? how much should i pack? can you bid for your base, i really want dfw (my bf is there)? and finally, can you pick up flights on reserve? im so nervous! i loved the vid! off to week 2 :)
I’m loving your videos… I’m watching them kind of backwards because I have my hiring event coming soon. You are so positive and everyone else’s videos make it so scary and stressful! Thanks for all the info and it’s so concise! ☺️
I leave for training Monday and was just wondering if there is a printer? I do much better printing things off to read and study than online, so I was just curious if they have one in the hotel!
At our property the front desk printed off our study guides and had them ready for us but I think we paid a small fee. All the hotels at the least should have a business center where you can print though. I printed everything too and still have my binder of all my printouts
Thank you so much for these informational videos. I start training next month, I came on here to get an idea of really want to pack. Business attire was helpful! I did have a question. Which hub did u get on tour top 5? I’m just seeing the likelihood of my choices and getting them. Thanks!
I have a question? After training the only money I will have is the money they will pay me for training. So if I can’t be based in my home city of Chicago I won’t be able to afford the cost of relocating. Do they allow people to be based in their home city? Also, if you are colorblind will that hinder you during training?
Girl I could not find white button up shirts anywhere. Except target. I was stressing about clothes. Thank you for this video! I like how your room looks similar to mine. Apparently mines the big one 😂 bc the front check in lady said “you’re lucky”
Hey, your videos are so informative & straight to the point!!! I have training starting 6/27, I will have braids due to a family trip right before……. Do you think I should take the braids down for training? I don’t want them to see them as unprofessional lol… what would you suggest?
This was literally my hair during training ( the fux locs) & I just went through training again in braids. Girl our hair is work and hours are long. If you want braids wear them.
This is going sound crazy but did you dress up on your way there to training the day you flew out TO training? (i.e training apparel or comfy clothes?)
I actually just answered this in my newest video! What NOT To Do Before Flight Attendant Training ruclips.net/video/qfrFVhnXeDo/видео.html this video will probably help but yes dress up
Starting in a couple of weeks, do you know if there’s a base that is taking most of the new hires? I’m a little nervous of going to a big city where rent could be expensive since hours and pay seem low.
Most airport aren’t directly where the big city is so it may be a little cheaper near the airport than in the city itself. You’ll be given a lot of info about each base before doing your bid so try not worry and maybe see if classmates wanting the same base want to do something together
@@ArielRoseInternational thats a good idea, and how difficult is it to get a full 40 hours of work a week? I really need to work as close as I can to full time hours.
When you say relocating are you literally moving to another state? Or are you just staying for a few nights? I was told they don’t really pay much the beginning of your career I was told they pay 10.50 or is it 18.00. Why do people say 18 isn’t enough?
Starting is 18.58. The pay scale is all on the website but you have to think that’s not 40 hrs a week like a typically 9-5. Relocation is highly suggested but technically not mandatory.
one more thing do you suggest bringing one of each of the items on the training apparel list? Like if someone rarely wears skirts could they omit bringing a skirt and pack extra slacks instead - or do they actually require us to wear a skirt on some of the training days?
No you don’t have to bring one of each item. If you only want to bring pants that’s fine. Whatever you’re comfortable in. There’s one day they require everyone to wear pants but that’s the only requirement.
I am attending the initial new hire training program on July 13 and Im very excited, scared and at the same time overwhelmed cause I saw exam on the first day whats up with that?
Do they relocate you for training? Because I was going to apply to this airline, but then I noticed the application said Salt Lake City UT? And I'm from New York?
@@ArielRoseInternational Thank you! I have a CJO with Endeavor. The offer is for the DTW base which is my first choice.
