  • The new movie ‘Loving Vincent’ is something truly spectacular. It details the life of the legendary Vincent van Gogh and is the world’s first fully painted film. A team of 125 professional artists worked tirelessly for years turning van Gogh’s famous work into this motion picture. They drew 853 different oil paintings. As one was finished they would color over it to make small adjustments for the subsequent frame. As a result the movie contains exactly 853 different shots.

65 000 paintings, more than 100 artists and they made it in 2 years. Those people realy showed the real Vincent who draw over 800 art in only 8 years. The story is great, animation is incredible and the soundtrack is just so beaufiful. I realy recommend this movie! especially for people with depression or that have problems with appreciation them selves. It show that even a person who felt like the worst thing in the world become the most famous. Sadly he never knew, but if he waited for a little while... He might know.

I do not feel that Vincent wanted to became famous but he wanted his paintings be sold and helps himself to live and not to depend on others. He wanted people of his painings, those common people be recognized as part inherent of the life. Recognisation does not mean to be famous. They, those paintings, were changing a way to look to the world, and this is something incredible. And this movie honors that way of thought, thank you

@@anacamusso7468 That is well said. He did not want fame as artist. He wanted living as artist. To be craftsman and independent of mercy of other's. It is much less than fame.

I think it would have benefitted the quality and content of ‘loving Vincent’ if the movie production had more heavily drawn on the knowledge centred iat Van gogh Museum in The Netherlands . Also, the accents should have been french and dutch actors speaking english. All in all, it would have been a tribute of respect to involve the country and the people where he was from and lived!!!
