You really do got to give it to Donny. All these years he's never stopped performing. Thick and thin, different trends, he just keeps going and doing his best to give a great show. Even if you're not a huge fan of the music you've got to respect a guy for that.
Donny is such an amazing human being. All the Osmonds are. I met them many years ago.

My mom and us kids watched Andy all the time. We didn't mind that it was a grown-up's show. Andy's voice was smooth as buttah!

Carson was able to meet Donny and was so appreciative of this opportunity. It was amazing that Donny and his wife were both so appreciative of Carson's addition to the show. Not only is Donny an amazing performer he is a great man.

@Donny Osmond, I’m not sure if you’re talking to me or not. But I grew up in Uniondale, LI, NY. Now live in southern AZ for the past 35 years. There was an article once in either Tiger Beat or was it called Sixteen Magazine? Or Seventeen?? The article was called “A Day & Night Alone with Donny.” I tell you, I cut that article out and kept it in my book bag/ purse for YEARS! Lol! It was so teen pop idol sexy! Thank You for a lifetime of goodness and fun!! The kids today will never know… BTW-I’m now 61! Lol!
Yep, we can't keep everything forever. Donny has to reach into his falsetto when he tries to go high like he did before his voice changed. This was fun!! Takes me back to when I was 12. I still have their 1st 12" LP that I got for Christmas. It's tucked away with the rest of my vinyl. I'm spoiled by both RUclips and RUclips. You can find just about anything you want and be transported back to when you weren't quite a teenager but life was fun. No bombs or the violence that is going on now. Thanks Donny and the rest of the family for giving us girls everything we wanted.

Love how Donny addressed the audience. Saying things like, "Whatever" when he took off his jacket. He's like a regular guy, just extremely talented. Very likeable.
Unfortunately, I lost all of my 45's, LPs and 8 tracks in a house fire in 1995 so I can only listen to these songs of my youth here on youtube.
Donny still sounds amazing and Carson sounds great too.
Oh-and that kid is a great performer! I hope he gets discovered!

He's this cool and down to earth in the green room, offstage and with his fans. I helped manage his security at one of his shows about 20 some odd years ago. Loves the BYU Cougars and is very proud to be a resident of the Beehive State.

Had the pleasure of seeing Donny and Marie in concert five years ago...truly one of the more entertaining shows I've ever seen.
For me 71 was a great year, Donny and I are about the same age, a week apart and I remember this song well, I bought the 45, think i was in the 6th grade...much happier times for sure.
Donny still has it. He continued to preform no matter what and he still sounds FABULOUS and looks more handsome

Oh my, this does take me back. I was one of those girls, who had every poster from Tiger Beat literally papering my walls with your posters. I also remember sitting in the broiling sun at the State Fair waiting to see you all in concert. And Carson was perfect! Loved it!

I was 10 y/o when this song came out.. still a favorite and in my collection. The Rankin/Bass cartoons were great. I actually thought the J5 made this song as I had not heard of the Osmonds back then, but they were a great group and Donny is still at it! Unbelievable!

Always liked Donny. He didn't have control over his own career even as a young man, though, and it was not his idea to do the "too cute" variety show with Marie or silly movies like "Goin' Coconuts." As a result of that fluff, no recording company would sign Donny to a contract to resume his pop/rock career for most of the 1980's.
But he persevered and ultimately made a comeback. Good for him.
The best part of Goin Coconuts was Debbie's cameo at the end. I remember that so well and she's just as gorgeous now.

I was there in February 1971 Saturday morning watching cartoons ... I remember the osmonds cartoon and the Jackson 5 cartoon played on TV that morning along with the groovy ghoulies..josie and the pussycats...original scooby doo...bugs bunny roadrunner show...the banana splits...lots sid n marty kroft shows like HR pufnstuf...6 yrs in 1971 remember my 70s kid cartoons...today 2021 56 yrs old and treasure those special times and miss those innocent simpler days.
Omg, he was my very first crush. The Donny and Marie show came out when I was 4 years old and mom use to let me stay up to watch it because it was my favorite. One of their albums was my first 78LP (that’s the big vinyl album, lol). He still looks damn fine! Thanks for sharing.
