    1) This is a great way to beat all the fire restrictions in the parks. There is no chance of fire spreading with this electric oven method.
    2) What seems like a boring staple becomes a centre of focus when smelled from a far and then tasted. Everyone loves a good damper.

    Fantastic!!!
I like the powdered milk idea.
The raisins remind me of a joke my father used to tell.
An old swaggy was sitting on the side of the road making a billy of tea and a damper.
Another swaggy was walking past and stopped to join him.
The first swaggy noticed his visitor spitting out the raisins from the damper he was eating.
“Don’t you like raisins?” He asked
The visitor said - “oh are they raisins!! I thought they were blowies”

Thanks Ralph.. haha yes there were a few flies around as you can see, so at least with the sultanas, I wouldn't have known the difference if a fly got kneaded in. ;-)

Great video, love how you put the amp hours at the end because I would have asked anyway.

Thanks Brett, you have inspired me to purchase a travel buddy like yours.
Because I'm a pedantic old so and so, there is a minor error in the units for your current calculation at the end. Current is in amps, not amps per hour, then:
    6 amp X 2.5 hours = 15 amp hours (not 15 amp)

Thanks for the correction mate. My electrical lingo is certainly lacking.

Yes I second what bushie ute is saying: indeed, batteries store Amp-hours, not Amps. Amp is already a unit that expresses what charge is being drawn out as time flows... that's why we have to multiply by a duration of time to obtain the "total charge consumed", and quoted as Amp-hours (because we haven't created a name for it). This is as if we had a name for km/hr but not for km... If you see what I mean...
Speaking of which, the numbers in the calculation may not be what is happening exactly: probably the oven is using a thermostat. Once the desired temperature is reached, the oven will stop heating further, hence it will stop drawing 6 amp of current, until the oven cools down too much and the thermostat tells the circuitry to start heating again, etc... So the oven might probably not draw 6 amp continuously from the battery over these 2.5 hours. So the total battery charge consumed might probably be less than 15amp-hours. I think I would guess something like 10 or so. But 15 is a good number to feel safe with.
Side note: in fact there is a unit for electric charge which is called "Coulomb". Amp correspond to the number of Coulomb that are consumed per second. So... 1 Amp-hour = 3600 Coulomb! But we don't really need to know this, since batteries are quoted in Amp-hours anyway...
Cheers :) I hope this helps in clarifying a bit everything...

I'm not one bit into cooking (TV cooking shows etc.) The only time I'm interested is when I'm hungry. However, that bread so looks delicious, I can almost smell it Lol.. Now I'm thinking, "where could I put a travel buddy". Lol.

I'm sure you'll find a place Clive! It could always be packed in a box and unpacked while cooking if there's nowhere to mount it.
