    Thank you for this video. My friends and I did this trail today. It was a blast. But the bottom is all creek right now. We all got our feet soaked. At least now I know how to ride through a creek. And those appreciation stations were very nice. Descent was awesome with hero dirt.

    I was just about to recommend you check this trail out! It's one of my favorite local trails, although I'm guilty of usually shuttling it while I'm working on my fitness. I did the ride up last weekend for the first time on my ebike and had a blast. Great video, per usual!

    Tony, I rode this trail this past Wednesday. That's right, the day after the epic 5 day rainstorm. Another one of my bright ideas. The bottom of the trail was completely washed out, and there were about 8 stream crossings before I got above the water. The steeper parts of the trail were super rutted out. I think the rain took the trail from a blue to black in some parts. But I got to the top, and rediculously beautiful snow-capped mountains as a reward. And the downhill was super fun, navigating all the ruts. Thanks for the good work bro, keep it up!

    Just found this video. Two things - One, thanks for showing me a new trail, I don't get up there that often, but would totally like to just get away and ride this. Second, very few would pull out a song from Lonesome Crow, one of my favorite albums. Watching this video was a little surreal as I probably would have that song in my head while descending as well. Awesome, keep up the great content.

    This is a great ride. Not too hard going up and super fun going down.
    The road is Glendora Mountain Road and it is a super road bike ride.
    LMTT was a forest service road allowing access to a mine back in the 1930s. The forest has reclaimed most of the truck trail to make it a wide 'single track' trail below the fire road.

    Hey man. I just want to thank you for sharing all these great videos. I think they're the best of all the mtb videos on youtube. You do a great job of editing so that we get a feel for a trail without having to go on the entire ride. One suggestion is to include some commentary on your use of brakes on downhills - because it looks like you don't use 'em! How do you maintain control?

    Great return ride! Was it me, or did you ride better when the music was subtly added into the background? ;) Nice edit. SoCal riding is so foreign to me after riding Santa Cruz. It ALL looks so fast and every corner looks like wash out city. I've been riding 2.6 front and 2.5 rear on 30mm rims all summer and love the extra traction. Looks like you dug the added grip as well. Thanks again for the effort. We DO appreciate the time that you put in.

    • @TheOutsiderMTB
      @TheOutsiderMTB  5 лет назад

      Haha - I think you're on to something with the music. ;) And yup - I had to learn how to ride down here in SoCal. Everything is loose and washed out, which at first was scary, but after putting in so many hours it's just part of the ride. It recently rained down here though, so the trails are the best they've been all year. Thanks again GoneNoMad!

    This is my local trail. The bottom riverbed section has changed a bit due to the amount of rain we had last winter. There are a few water crossings that you'll have to get off and step across while holding your bike, but we'll fix those just a soon as the water level subsides a bit more. We did some work filling ruts, clearing drains and creating water bars to help prevent new ruts. It's a bit overgrown from the rainfall, but it's still one of the most fun trails in the SGV. Way better than Marshall😉
