I think this game has such a big potencial for you to make something like Scrap Mechanic MCS story. I think that would be awesome

Glad you enjoyed my 3d printer build! The reason it prints kind of randomly is due to the Lua code that I used. I store a table of every pixel that you draw with its position/color/layer, and the program sorts the table by layer before saving it so that it prints the layers in the right order, but I was having trouble sorting it by both the layer and the position, so for now it only sorts using the layer.

@@DarthZ01 Not necessarily. Depending on the sorting algorithm, the end result can vary a lot. Some algorithm may preserve original ordering in case of entries with same value, some will not. Given the way the printer behaved in the video (printing a straight line out of order), the algorithm used doesn't preserver order.
@Mason quick idea : give a combined positional value to each pixel based on all three dimensions (for ex : layer*625 + y*25 + x) and sort by this value. That way it'll be sorted by Layer, Y, and X position, in that order. Keep the other values for the rest of the process. (edit: fixed maths)

Truly a *Scapman* moment
there is one component in the list that i like a lot, it's not the comunicator, which alows you to send data to a specified steam id, but the serial port, it alows you to use a real serial port on your computer and comunicate with stuff irl, meaning you could use plasma to run a nuclear power plant.
I'd like to see more gameplay in this game. I think your brain would grasp it after a bit of practice.
Look at the staged worlds on the workshop, there's are some really cool stuff there.
Once you get past the initial learning curve, it's pretty simple to make most stuff. I really think you should try making some stuff, or using the communicator part to do Multiplayer Monday with battle bots
Edit:it is also entirely possible to program stuff like in scrap mechanic using logic stuff and comparators

I want this game to have a survival mode. The way buttons and switches work would also benefit from vr, so I want that too.
If they add multi-player to this it will be insane!!
(Also I hope you keep doing hide and seek in scrap mechanic haha because I've been working on a map for weeks, and I think it's gonna be interesting and challenging in ways many previous maps haven't been. (Watch out for the Complex. Coming soon))
You should do a learning series similar to your bot-factory one. Where maybe you set a desired goal and have to learn how to do it in that episode. Would be cool.
Edit: some examples would be making a car/buggy, converting that into rc with a camera and screen, making a BattleBot to see how weapons would work, making a plane/helicopter, etc.

Multiplayer Monday idea: having an arena with land and water, trees, rocks, you name it. Everyone creates an amphibious vehicle that can or cannot transform, and all vehicles have a bomb spawner on them. The winner of each round has to increase engine and/or thruster speed (the creation might have both or just one), therefore making it harder for them, and the first person to reach a designated level on engine or thruster wins (I don't know what the beginning speed should be).
I just got the game after watching your video, I hope my rusted brain will come to work again

I wish devs would allow in future a bigger maps, like build your own rocket from earth gravity, go to space and land on mars or whatever without colliding. Or why not, even multiplayer to show your friends your stuff.

Arcade games were so basic they were coded diirectly onto the processor with assembly language, so theoratecally something like tetris or alien invasion is build-able in an advanced game like Scrap Mechanic or Plasma.

I like how this vid clearly shows the devs what they are missing. Great systems, but you have to motivate your players to use the systems you've created (sans-tutorials).
edit: AND MAKE THOSE SYSTEMS ENGAGING. I thought that would be obvious but after watching this vid I'm not so sure.

You should be able to limit the spin of the drive wheels to a factor of the spin of the non-drive wheels, that way you don't get out of control burnouts. If aerodynamics is not simulated (I assume it isn't), you can add a downward thruster to the front of the vehicle to keep it from flipping up with acceleration. OR, make the rear axle higher than the center of gravity.

When you, Kan and Moonbo play hide and seek, you should divide the video into four parts. Three of the parts are when you, Kan and Moonbo search and the fourth is when you find the secret in the hide and seek challenge.

Day 118 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races their builds

Speaking as somebody who does have coding background, the visual programming stuff looks more difficult and complicated than actual coding!

Could you please play " We Become What We Behold ". We Become What We Behold is a 5 minute game that looks at how social media magnifies small differences into gross monstrosities. It is a non-partisan game about politics, examining the horror of the viral nature of divisiveness and tribalism. It is a perfect reflection of the real world. It escalates very fast so you might like it. If anybody hasn't played this game they should. You might love it because how well it depicts the real world or you could hate it because of the dark truth it shows.

I was able to make the basic foundations of a 3D renderer in the original demo, I can't wait to see what smarter people than me will be able to do with this game.
