I love how wholesome and friendly everyone is towards each other
Palm Cove Jetty was my favourite fishing spot as a kid. My father would drop me off and I would fish all day. As I got to my teens and twenties I would go late afternoon and fish for sharks and squid etc. We caught all sorts of fish. The best being Spanish mackerel. I also caught a huge wolf herring that devoured a live bait as soon as it hit the water down beside the jetty. A great night's fishing even though you didn't catch anything (that's fishing though).

Good stuff and I have spent many a night on jetties for doughnuts but way more that have gone crazy . Some trips we would spend a week on a jetty .

Big Barra under that jetty... I've caught blue salmon ,Barra, jacks, fingermark, jewies, cod, Queenie's and makies
I only did well there on a fast running up tide and live prawns. Need big running sinkers to keep bait down. Caught the prawns in the creek around the corner.
Hey mate love your videos keep it up! I fished that jetty mid last year when I was on holiday with my mum. Ended up catching a decent size mud crab on a rod with a prawn as bait

I was there 2 yrs ago, old bloke showed me three little baby crocs in a bucket. They had been caught in a throw net off that jetty. Mum must have been nearby.

Ye i once caught about a 56cm fish there of the end it had some stripes and i usually go to that peer every week its a real good place at high tide
I think the zman slim swimz in opening night colour should work well for that jetty. Keep up the videos loving the content

@@lukefalzon it’s a soft plastics lure you can get them at bcf or any fishing store. The opening night colour looks a lot like a gar fish so it would probably work at spot

When you go for mud crab when you put your bait in make sure you have no bug spray on your head because the scent from your hands go onto the fish and crabs can smell it

not that long ago I went up to cairns for a holiday and went to that jetty every morning and caught a couple blue salmon smashed by a mackerel and caught a couple sharks

In that corner you will nothing but little stripys (palm cove piranha). You need to have a chat to old Doug that owns that tackle trolley and scooter that was out there Sunday morning he knows the best time to attack the jetty 🤙

@lukefalzon Trinity Beach mate I was out there Sunday morning I was fishing with doug.. you can get some really nice fish off there its just about which area you fish let's us know when your heading back out to the jetty 👍

It has out fished it self cause of the people fishing. Should be no fishing for 3 Years let everything settle back down again. Yes have fished of this Pier plus area back in the 70`s and 80`s. Love the Videos keep them coming. Makes me laugh you go into the water ' There be something watching you ' Just because you cant see them doesn`t mean its safe. Expect a Attack anytime in the water. Try hearvy bay pier its 1km long its in Queensland and its so good i caught a hammer head off it and a shovel nose in just a couple hours and the amount of baitfish there is insane
