Possibly going to get the new volumes of Heaven Official’s Blessing volume 5 and Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation volume 4 (I asked for both of them for Christmas).

There’s no need to apologize for the delayed package, I was having my own struggles with getting the gift there on time. I swear I never have problems with the postal service except for during these Secret Santa events lol. Anyway, your reactions were great and the rest of the haul was fun as well!

Weeb Mom's reaction to the Rose of Versailles cup and Sesshomaru figure was awesome, and I admit I was a bit surprised when that blade just "shink"ed out 😅 And giving Dad Weeb an Anya cup! 🤣would go great with that Demon Slayer puzzle, tho... Some great manga pick ups as well of course! I vote for After the Rain being the next review -- I've never read it, but as someone who's also enjoying Kowloon, I think it'd be interesting to hear the opinion of someone who likes Jun Mayuzuki's new work (DW) vs. someone who doesn't really (MW), especially since I've heard After the Rain goes a bit harder on the romance aspect. I also love how the shojo trash talk has apparently been denied lol The obvious pain of holding back as Dad Weeb silently adds the shojo manga to the pile 🤣 Lovesick Ellie continues to be my most anticipated release every other month, tho Mika Yamamori's new series In the Clear Moonlit Dusk is fast catching up -- I really loved the first volume. Blame! has also always sounded really intriguing to me -- I've debated picking it up for a while because I love atmospheric works, but I'm not usually a big fan of stories set in space 🤔 The movie discussion at the end was great as well. I haven't seen Lethal Weapon or Glass Onion, but between Gremlins and Die Hard, I'd put Gremlins as the most entertaining movie, but Die Hard the more Christmasy movie 😅 And then the whole discussion gets shut down because of American Pie 😂 My attempt at a hot take: Seinan series are the edgelords of manga, and it's a shame they get classified as a cut about other demographic categories simply for their overuse of violence/focus on hypermasculinity. (I'm not a very "hot-take-y" person, so feel free pass over it if better ones come your way lol)

Kowloon volume 2 really hooked me even more than volume 1, can’t wait to read the next one. Black Torch is a good one! It was canceled too soon, imho. There are only 5 volumes, and it's technically complete. However, it was intended to be way more than 5 volumes.

As for Deus Vitae there is not much I can say about it here but I have finished the first book and plan to read the other two but not sure if Ill ever recommend the series. Its not good but its kinda funny.
Die Wergelder was a really interesting and mysterious read for sure and I love all the badass ladies in it! Definitely not for people who can't stomach gore and sexual abuse though. I have volume 2 in my "to be hauled pile"; I hope I can get to it soon! 👀 Also, I was gifted a couple volumes of The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again for Christmas, and I can't wait to see why it's one of Mom Weeb's favs. :D Also, I second that Lovesick Ellie is funny. 😂 Just wondering, have you heard of the graphic novel, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin"? My husband got it for his birthday and he just finished it and he said it was REALLY good. I heard a little about it from him and I think I'm going to read it as well; it might be worth checking out. 👀
So an the forcing yourself to like something… I read 1-3 of Vineland Sage 3 times. The first two times I was bored and confused. The 3rd time I read it I feel in love and excited to continue. Just got caught up. Will have to do a binge in 2023. The third time is the charm. 😂
