Put toilet paper tubes on the back of your wrist at the jacket cuff. Amazing breeze at 50mph and if you lose it and go down, the paper tube will squash and not compromise the protection.
I've seen hard plastic ventilators for that, but all i could see was broken wrist.
Cordite pants with CE pads are excellent riding pants and come ventilated or water resistant.
Man that TP tube idea is genius!
Depending on your bike and/or how you ride, a dirt helmet could be a great choice for the summer. Decently cheap, super light, all with a giant hole in the front for airflow.
Even with all that gear on, CycleCruza is one of the coolest guys we know. 😉

I wear Sedici boots, shorty gloves, and jacket. I’m getting a new Sedici helmet in a couple of weeks. I’m gonna have to check out those pants. My jacket is light weight, and flows air great. It has CE armor in the elbows, shoulders, and back. I Love their products, and their reasonably priced. I get mine at Cycle Gear.

For the uninitiated; a Helite vest does not reduce airflow if you own a perforated leather jacket.
Yes it does. It has to. It is an impermeable air bladder. I take mine off at about 90. I rode from Gunnison, Colorado to Garden City, Kansas on Sunday. 442 miles. The last 100 miles it was 98 degrees. Vest came off.
Experience breeds gear, but here is a strange story, that armour jacket your talking about, I think I saw a version of it in Kampala, but I didn't buy it because I thought that it was add on armour, but now that you have explained it, I will think twice the next time I have some money on me. Question how does it handle in the rain?

One tip that I have is I cover my t shirt in water that helps keep me cool.
Works ok if you’re in a dry climate, but in a humid climate that’ll only make it worse
