Thankyou!! Great video!!!!
Glad I could help!
@Teresa RANA The dotted line splits the shape up into two rectangles. The first, the one on the left, has a height of 9cm and a width of 3cm, so its area is 9x3 = 27cm^2. The second, the one on the right, is a square with a height of 5cm and a width of 5cm, so its area is 5x5 = 25cm^2.
So the total area is 27 + 25 = 52cm^2
Nise Trying good
Thank you 😊
Good job sir!!
Thanks so much It is very nice

Thanks the teacher explains for 45 mins and did not understand you 5 mins and understood
I don't get it. Aren't you ment to do the length times width?
I mean that is the volume to find an are of a compound shape.
I did do length times width, but I split the shape up into two rectangles first. One is 3cm by 9cm, and the other is 5cm by 5cm
wish you were my school teacher.
Thanks for the help

Pov : your in year 10 , i am in year 10 right now 21/09/2021
Nice
Thanks bro
Thank you 🙏
question why didnt you use the 8 and 4
Well you could split the shape up in a different way to find the area: 8x5 + 4x3 = 40 + 12 = 52. This produces the same result.
@@TLMaths so are there 2 possible answers to the question?
Not two possible answers, but there are two different ways you can chop up the compound shape into two rectangles.
@@TLMaths oh thanks sir your very helpful 😀
