I remember my family would play this movie on Halloween when I was little. I would eat those little gummies and jump out of the room so scared cause of the blood. Something about it was so fascinating, though. I'm 17 and still remains to be a favorite of mine. Love u Johnny
Same, my mom and I would watch it when I was little at Halloween. Not sure why it was rated what it is, I mean granted to me it was just a spooky and gothic film, as I recall there was no swearing and there was a little bit of blood, but that was it. Besides, children are seeing their parents play worse games on their xbox these days.
This was the song I walked down the isle too in my wedding last October :). It was an outdoor evening wedding, and I arrived in a black authentic Victorian horse and carriage! We also had fog, and my wedding dress was all black. My husband had on Victorian attire as well ... it was the most amazing day in my life! Sleepy Hollow was my favorite Disney movie growing up ... and I am so obsessed with it we made it our whole wedding theme (I guess it helps that we are Halloween addicts! Plus we live in spooky New England! ). Someone got my whole wedding service recorded ... so I'll upload it on youtube in case anyone is interested in gothic style weddings. Even my JP participated in the theme. It came out nice ... it wasn't over the top Halloween cheesy ... but it was very romantic Victorian goth .... and what better song then this? It was perfect! Haunting yet beautiful sounding ... plus it's the song to my theme!! Awesome movie, awesome ghost story, great music, and it was all apart of a day I'll never forget!
Binary79 Thanks so much! It's funny you mention metal .... my husband and I were both in a metal band .. he played keyboards and I was a singer. We had the song The Other Half of Me, by Within Temptation play as our intro song for the reception ... I tossed my bouquet to Let The Bodies Hit The Floor ... and we had a ton of other metal and industrial songs play through out the night :)
+MaidenOfDarkness usually i think weddings are pretty stupid and all the same, but from the way yours sounded, now that's a wedding! Very cool. Sounds like something i would do. I love Halloween and have always wanted to get married on that day. Very cool
Amen to that, Tim Burton is pretty brilliant when it comes to a good scare. In fact he should do a movie with John Carpenter, Wes craven, or Christopher Young... or just make more R rated movies in general.
My neighborhood is a horse country area where we have a long winding road adorned by woods and streams and meadows and everyone has horses barns and riding rings and the bottom of the street goes into a county horse park with a wooden bridge that crosses a creek and then splits off into miles of dirt trails and horse paths that go in every direction through the woods. Needless to say when I’m walking alone through the neighborhood I am accustomed to hearing the clattering of hooves and the thundering of galloping horses
This was the first R rated movie i saw when i was little and man did it scare the fuck outta me. Had to watch it in daylight the 2nd time I saw it lol. One of my favorite movies to this day.
Same but I could watch it at night...I just had to close my eyes at 4 or 5 parts. I think I was little young to watch this film when I did BBBBUUUUUTTTTTT...I'm glad I did! It Makes this movie very nostalgic for me and even more perfect for Halloween lol!!!!!!
+Caro Pozz I personally think that the Autumn has the best horror atmosphere (I don't mean the Halloween). Even there in Czech it's best when you're walking on streets or in forest in very morning or evening. It gives me ideas to horror story...
I've never watched this film fully, but I am aware of the legend. I grew up in Upstate New York and I can tell you that for my active imagination the legend, and all of the toys that came out with the movie were made even more real by all of the old bridges that could be found in my area, the nearby revolutionary war era battle grounds, and the beautiful foliage, especially in the fall. Needless to say this ost brings back fond memories of childhood.
This is the first R-rated film I remember seeing, or at least the first film where I see a head getting chopped off!!! Johnny Depp is always a great actor, but I wasn't too big a fan of this film in contrast to 'Gilbert Grape' and 'Sweeney Todd'. Fairly decent theme music though. May try this film out again on Netflix.
+Weston Reisch This movie is actually not all that good in story and stuff, but I always come back to it. I dont know. The music, the atmosphere, something pulls me back to. Watched it at least five times now and still not tired of it^^ Strange wolrd
I haven't seen sleepy hollow, but i shall watch it very soon, but the main reason i am here is due to Danny Elfman's creativity and originality ♥ he is absolutely amazing with music and i feel that many people do not credit Elfman enough!
can someone help me build a time michine so i could go back to november of 1999 right when this came out so i could see what everything was like and join it????
I won't stop listening to it and I love playing it everywhere I go and did I mentioned when I sleep. I'm all about creepy and this is a way to show it.👽💀👽
we all agree, danny's dark, yet mysterious mind akes the most strange, fitting, sad, sweet, darkest songs almost any person would never think of or go that deep enough to look or listen for and with the great combo/partnership with tim burton who also at times make movies no one would think of makes the greatest hits of this century and our life time. I hope they continue to make...no create the beautiful art we hear, see, and read about
This is my most beloved movie as a child ,I loved it so much when I got scared I covered my ears instead of my eyes so I wouldn't have to be scared of the loud noises but still watch lol
I just watched this movie for the fist time last week, and I realized that there are 3 people from the Harty Potter movies in this movie. Vernon Dursley, Rita Skeeter, and Albus Dumbeldore
So evocative. I went to see this on my 14th birthday the year it came out. I overlooked the obligatory black and purple clothes phase somehow and just got really into reading.
This work is from the guy in Oingo Boingo from the 80s I love it and can hear influences from his time in that band and all of his constructs for Tim Burton
The first time I saw this I wasn’t supposed too, and my parents got really mad , but I passed this movie on to my OLDER brothers and we watch this every Halloween and my mom and dad are still disappointed.
So obsessed with this film!! The whole aesthetic is just absolutely incredible, and the danny Elfman soundtrack is perfection
Same! My favourite Halloween film, once October hits, I watch it so much. Gives me the vibes for spooky season.
@@Jake-vh6jp It´s so perfect for Halloween...
I watch this movie every October. Also, that tree has popped up in other Tim Burton films. It must be his favorite prop :D
Yeeah?
You mean besides Depp?
A. "Favorite prop"
I think, yeah probably...
Maybe it’s a real tree someplace he likes to film!!
@@sac1454most directors use hire same cast crew especially Tim burton , luck y them folk.
Dumbo was 💨
I love how in the beginning it has a little mixture of a good and evil sound. But then the evil one continues through the rest of the song
agreed
True. Evil engulfs good removing even the last speck of hope.
This is my favorite version of Sleepy Hollow. It's super scary, and has a cool theme.
Especially witch scene
Best johnny depp performance
I created a theme song for sleepy hollow I think mine is better
Danny Elfman, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and more... Obviously it's so good !!! 😍😍
Sleepy Hollow is a classic film
Hats off to you, Mr. Elfman, you are a musical genius. Aw hell, you're an all around genius!
*heads off
This musical theme is simply epic.
Danny Elfman ❤️🤩😍
This should be Halloween’s anthem. Love it!
Totally agree, this IS Halloween's Anthem!
absolute favorite movie, Tim Burton is a genius.
One of if not Tim Burton’s most underrated films
I remember my family would play this movie on Halloween when I was little. I would eat those little gummies and jump out of the room so scared cause of the blood. Something about it was so fascinating, though. I'm 17 and still remains to be a favorite of mine. Love u Johnny

MaidenOfDarkness That sounds amazing. Arriving in a black horse and carriage with this theme playing, that is pretty metal.
Binary79 Thanks so much! It's funny you mention metal .... my husband and I were both in a metal band .. he played keyboards and I was a singer. Savage... I give you my respect

+MaidenOfDarkness are you going to post a vid of the wedding? I got to see this
I always watch this every year before Halloween
Because it always gets me ready for Halloween
Love the score! Love the movie! Love the actors! Love the director! Love everything about this movie!!
Exactly. Exactly. It's just perfect.
Amaziiiing song!
Love that movie!!! Tim Burton is the best!
Miranda as Lady Van Tassel - stunning!
This and sweeney todd are both amazing movies and I wish there were more like them.
Amen to that, Tim Burton is pretty brilliant when it comes to a good scare. In fact he should do a movie with John Carpenter, Wes craven, or Christopher Young... or just make more R rated movies in general.
my favorite Movie, a real Classic
I grew up loving tim burton and johney depp still love 'em and always will!!!!!!
I love this film, it's a classic, it's scary and it's fun, perfect for watching on Halloween, great film, epic soundtrack.

Needless to say when I’m walking alone through the neighborhood I am accustomed to hearing the clattering of hooves and the thundering of galloping horses
But if I was out late at night and was followed by a lone rider I’d be concerned
This is magical
This is a brilliant collection of soundtracks. Thank you so much for putting it together.
Perfect especially when autumn will begins...
This was the first R rated movie i saw when i was little and man did it scare the fuck outta me. Had to watch it in daylight the 2nd time I saw it lol. One of my favorite movies to this day.

Same, as a kid this movie scared the shit out of me
This song make me love the sadness of the winter
I thought winter was joyful, though.
+Caro Pozz I personally think that the Autumn has the best horror atmosphere (I don't mean the Halloween). Even there in Czech it's best when you're walking on streets or in forest in very morning or evening. It gives me ideas to horror story...
I love living in this town, the legend on Halloween is... ahhh wonderful.
Endlich hab ich den Soundtrack und den Film gefunden. Wird zwar bald Weihnachten, aber ich muss den einfach gucken
You can almost hear the hoof-steps of the Hessian Horseman's horse as you listen to this.
The nostalgia of this movie is just terrifying me every day
Don't forget Helena Bohnam Carter!!! His movies are incomplete without her. I wish she were in all of them.
Beautiful song. ♥
Amazing music...
I watched this in kindergarten and loved it. Although we have lost it, i do wish we could find it again so we could watch it. I loved this movie!!!
*3:58** - New York, 1799*
TwT
wow , what a movie....
This melody is so haunting, enchanting, and mysterious!
I love it!
This is amazing. Its so well done. And besides that, just a great movie.
Johnny Depp's restrained performance still didn't hide his great acting style that makes so many love him.
epic movie, and epic theme song! quality gem of the better times
jeez, this score should have won the oscar instead "the red violin"!
Danny Elfman really did a great job. Such a wonderfull score!!!!!
FANTASTIC piece!!! It looks like some celtic-russian classic music. I really like.
Saw this live last night played by the Detroit symphony orchestra. It was amazing
Johnny Depp :) The best actor ever.
I've never watched this film fully, but I am aware of the legend. I love this music. Thanks for putting this on here.

This is such a GOOD movie! I have watched this movie over 12 times!!
Depp and Burton are great and all but.. DANNY!! MY GOD WHAT A GENIUS!!

Halloween eve 2020 cold with snow, Full Moon Halloween night! That's perfect timing.Clocks go back one hour dark and spooky by 5:00PM Boooo!
This theme rang in my head when I was jogging. I came to this spooky place, it was a really awkward moment.
I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP xDHE'S THE BEST CHARACTER IN THIS MOVIE !! :*D
Epic director, epic movie, and lastly epic theme.
This is my most beloved movie as a child ,I loved it so much when I got scared I covered my ears instead of my eyes so I wouldn't have to be scared of the loud noises but still watch lol
Great movie. I can't wait for the new sleepy hollow tv show.
I just watched this movie for the fist time last week, and I realized that there are 3 people from the Harty Potter movies in this movie. Vernon Dursley, Rita Skeeter, and Albus Dumbeldore
and Snape
Feltson Lover And now Johnny Depp.
Rainbow Soldier Alan Rickman wasn’t in this movie
Natty Champs but he is in Sweeny Todd x)
Emperor Palpatine is there too (yes he isn't a Harry Potter character but I think it's cool he's there).
Oh hell yes. Helana Bonham-Carter is one of my favorite actresses and Johnny Depp is one of my fav actors. Them working together=awesome movie. :p Lol
This song just reached my top ten best songs I've ever listened too. It can scoot in with the other 5 Danny Elfman songs.
Best Halloween movie ever.
I know its been said many times before but my god does Danny Elfman know how to score the shadowy side of music
So evocative. I went to see this on my 14th birthday the year it came out. I overlooked the obligatory black and purple clothes phase somehow and just got really into reading.
Quanto ho odiato la parte in cui staccava la corteccia e uscivano le teste... Però lui era bellissimo con le sue solite espressioni da pazzo...❤️❤️
This movie is on Netflix now, I've watched it like 10 times
It's a very good movie
A perfect Halloween movie to watch!
amazing theme & sleepy hollow is brilliant!
thanks
It is definitely worth watching.
One of my favourite movies! ^___^
This work is from the guy in Oingo Boingo from the 80s I love it and can hear influences from his time in that band and all of his constructs for Tim Burton
What fun. I'm downloading this song for my i-pod to play when little kids come up to get candy today. heeheehee.
first i was seeing lilium theme
then pan's labyrinth theme
and now this.... beautiful TTwTT
This is so awesome!
Stupid that the sun is shining... I need rain for the ultimate creepyness
around 3:30 reminds me a little of the 'spiders' track from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with the violins :D soo cool!!
HE is real, the legend of sleepy hollow will live forever...
I love this song. You can tell that it has some sort of Tim Burton/Danny Elfman touch to it. ^__^
wonderfully mystic movie....
love this movie!!
This would have also been the theme if Burton had done a Batman Movie portraying the Scarecrow !
HOLY SHIT WHAT A PERFECT TIMELINE THAT WOULD BE
I friggin' LOVE Christopher Walken as the Headless Horseman!
As a child I dreamed of making a film this great
one of the best movie.
The first time I saw this I wasn’t supposed too, and my parents got really mad , but I passed this movie on to my OLDER brothers and we watch this every Halloween and my mom and dad are still disappointed.
