Awesome job explaining this 👍. Looks much easier than Hyperspin. Do you think you can maybe explain on how to make attract mode work with the zero delay usb arcade controllers, and also how to auto-boot windows right into attract mode without the need for a keyboard and mouse?

To run attract mode at startup: create a shortcut of the attract mode exe file and place it in C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

To shutdown directly from the attract mode, tab> general> exit command put - shutdown.exe-f-s-t00

To configure zero delay controller, you have to configure it on both places, attract mode, and the emulator. On attract mode Tab > Control > Joystick Mapping > Assign the joystick name here.

Go to settings by pressing TAB button in your keyboard, and see if there is something about resolution.

These are collected from various sources. I don't have a direct link right now. You have to look in Emumovies or Arcadepunks or Google.

Can Attract-Mode apply Shaders to the emulators it launches? Not MAME specifically because MAME has it's own Shader system but emulators like Stella or Altirra?

Shaders can be configured only with the emulators, whereas Attract Mode is just a front end. Keep it mind, enabling shaders can slow down your gaming if you have a low end system.

My personal choice is non-merged. Because I choose my games myself. Which games I like I only keep them. On the other hand, in the merged version, you must have the whole set. You can't delete a single rom. The size would be 50+ GB. But in non-merged, you have to choose each and every roms you want to keep. So it will take a long time to select from 5000+ availavle/working roms. And the size depends on how many roms you keep. 5-10 GB is enough. In the merged version, there are more than 3000 available/working roms with clone and parent.

I forgot the way I did it. As far I can remember, there is a theme which has a folder full of randomized sounds. You can look for this in Google or Bing.

Hopefully you might be able to help. I have done a display called Metal Slug Collection, I can get all the games displayed and across multiple emulators. However, I want to be able to add bonus games, so Demon Front and Dolphin Blue as examples. However, I cannot get them to show, and sometimes with the filters it stops everything from displaying. I know the frontend is old now, so is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Sadly it looks like the FE is dead, the last release in 2020, but pretty much it has done everything that I have wanted it to do so far, apart from this.

I have found out how to do it now, you need a pipe and not a semi colon. A pipe is | and to do this type alt and then press 1 2 4 on your keyboard. So you would have Metal Slug|Another Game.

@@thearcadeinsane I am on a UK keyboard, I just noticed that it is to the left of the Z key so \ shift plus | or press alt +124 | will do the same thing, but the shift almost z key might be faster, I will have to see which one I prefer, thanks for the reply :)
