Such a powerful and important project. Thank you for this work. Water is life and also has been "assimilated" and traumatized by dams & environmental pollution.

It has been a joy to watch the shift in the lives of the indigenous peoples in so many cultures as they bring back traditions. A beautiful, healing process despite the many roadblocks placed in the way. Congratulations Nimiipuu people for claiming your beautiful heritage and giving it new life!!

It is good to see human beings who can create something useful and beautiful with their own hands. Thank you for sharing this. I think it's not just "the canoe", it's also a return to healthy natural food, to the old good recipes, to natural materials so that nature can recycle them, to the ancient medicine - the cycle of life. Mitakuye Oyasin - connected.
Good thoughts and wishes to you, the elders, the children and for your healing journey!.。・゚・。.☆.*

I'm curious if anything was applied to the wood of the canoes after they were built to protect them.
