These were among the last Sugar Crisp commercials which featured Granny Goodwich.

Sugar Bear was coming over to Granny Goodwitch's for Super Sugar Crisp;
now she's in trouble and it's up to Sugar Bear to save her in these spots from 1967 and 1968. These spots were the last to feature Granny Goodwitch; by the 1970s, Sugar Bear faced off with the Blob, then the
Sugar Fox and became Super Bear (due to the popularity of "The Incredible Hulk" on television).

I've heard that a lot of us kids back then thought that "Sugar Bear" was supposed to be imitating a (Negro) African American, but I never heard him that way because my mother raised me on classic film and I come from a family of jazz musicians.
I knew from a pretty young age that he was imitating pianist vocalist composer Hoagy Carmichael.
