    Folk singer Jo Mapes is the vocalist for the "Kellogg's Raising Bran" ad [Daws Butler is "The Sun"]. "The Year of the Tiger" ad corresponded to the Chinese zodiac calendar for 1974.

    I strongly suspect that's veteran voice actor Alan Oppenheimer (Skeletor from He-Man) as Old Man Winter in the Sugar Crisp commercial.

    For the honey comb cereal commercial that lady is my teacher at school. No lie her name is Ms.Vetcher and she works in at elementary school in New Jersey. And she showed us this in class!

    Does anyone remember an Apple Jacks commercial were a little boy sits on the floor with his hands on an imaginary car steering wheel and starts to move, like he's driving. When I was a kid I actually thought if I ate my Apple Jacks I would be able to do that too. LOL. It was sometime between 1969-1971.

    Super Sugar Crisp is now Golden Crisp at your local supermarket. They still have Cocoa Puffs, Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms. But I don't know about the status of Honey-Comb however.

    Actually... Mr. Tiger was voiced by Thrul Ravenscroft, a voice actor & background singer. (He did back-up vocals on that old song 'This Old House'!
    I am guessing that part of the confusion comes from the factoid that he sang 'Your a Mean One...' in the 1st Grinch holiday special! Mr. Karloff of course played the Grinch himself!

    Even as a kid I was like "what's balanced about toast, milk and juice?" With all that sugar, dairy and wheat, no wonder America got so fat. No protein, no fruit or veg. Just a big fat morning sugar rush! LOL

    There was a kid's cereal from the 70's... Like many cereals, it had 2 varieties. To create a sense of rivalry between the 2, each one was championed by a WWI vintage flying ace. (Whom would dogfight one another in the commercials!)
    Am I the only one on the planet who remembers it??? & does anyone else know the name?

    Maybe some day they will start putting these classic old commercials to go use and maybe use them now. Don't really understand why cereal commercials are never reused, after all its still the same cereal. Imagine Coco Puffs using any of its animated commercials from the 70s or 80s in conjunction with retro boxes in store, I think they would sell good. And heck some brands have used retro cereal boxes already this year.
