Welcome to our East Nepal Trip. This is a unique trip as we explore so many places in a very short period of time. Our journey will cover beautiful Ilam, holy Maipokhari, drive through Phidim, Taplejung and one half of the TMJ circuit. And because of the bad weather conditions, people were the highlights of our trip.
We also witnessed the demise of a portion of the one of the best trekking routes of Nepal. Nevertheless, the rhododendrons and the enchanting forests are still there. Due to the incessant rain and hailstorm, Rhododendrons hadn’t bloomed as much as we expected but we had no complaints.

This video made me nostalgic. 3 years ago, when I went to this place it was very different and remote but exceptionally beautiful. Jungle were full of beautiful rhododendrons.

In our BSc days, we had an excursion to Maipokhari to collect those newt (axoltl larava) of salamander. Deficiency of iodine inhibits the metamorphosis of the larva into salamander.

Have been following ghumante for a long time now. It's amazing to see how they only get better each time. Wishes to you team to keep up. ♥️
Panchthar ghumne ho bhane these are my suggestions:
1. Singha Devi Mandir, the Pathibara of Taplejung can be seen clearly if you are blessed with a clear day. There is also a cave that leads to Tamor River.(folklore). The cave is real but people haven't tried to go deep. there are beautiful rock carvings, vertical rocks to walk. Tamor river can be seen at a height. A very peaceful place of worship. 10 MINS IN VEHICLE FROM PHIDIM.
2. Jorsal Bazar:A small town that had a history of being a resting place for people before reaching Phidim by walking from distant places in Panchthar. A junction to Terathum( Madhya Pahadi LokMarg) and Taplejung( Mechi Highway). You may have already reached there while going to Taplejung.
3. Pauwa Bhanjyang A beautiful place in the highway. 360 view of hills and villages, would make a great drone video.
4. Majhitar, a small river side village beside Tamor River which makes border between Terathum and Panchthar. Maybe little sight seeing,
