God of the Sea is probably the best pantheon in the game with NQ mod. Combined with a lighthouse you've got 4F 2P 1F fish, and that + 1G for whales. 7-8 yield tiles... in the early Classical era. That is absurdly powerful.
I'm quite new only played for about a week so can i ask if the NQ mod is any good in single player? or is it made to be only really good in multiplayer games?
+A Taylow (Lee) I hear the SP changes make the AI pretty hard in SP.
+FilthyRobot From my experience, all the AI is really doing differently is spamming Piety (in 7.2, haven't tried 8.0 yet). So religions were going crazy fast even for non-religious bonus civs. Other than that, the AI doesn't really seem to have changed it's behavior much.
+A Taylow (Lee) But to answer your question... I'm a fan of the NQ balance overall so I choose to use it in SP games. The mod actually makes other Social Policy trees viable instead of just Tradition/Liberty(rarely)->1-2 filler policies-> Rationalism. You almost always had to follow this path if you wanted to have any chance of winning, even against the AI because it almost always went straight for Rationalism too. This mod allows for other trees that better suit your lands that also provide their own science benefits.
A number of things have been changed in addition to that, which you can go read about if you want. The point is, I feel the NQ mod enhances the core mechanics of Civ V whether it's MP or SP so I would say it's worth using.

You should always go honor in the mod. It is pretty strong.
+MidnightFox Always? Really? The entire point of the social policy changes was to offer 4 viable opener trees. Not change the one viable opener from Tradition to something else. I disagree, Trad, Liberty and Honor openers are pretty decent atm, with full Piety still being the weakest.
