    The Stalogy binding is made to fold over onto itself. This way you can have an even flat writing surface no matter if you are writing on the first page or the end of a chunky book. It's hard to explain it in text but I know there are YT videos on this "hack".

    The TOTK maps are so smart!! I keep thinking how I wish I could write a note when I add a stamp to the map in the game, but I should do this instead and keep track of things much better!

    • @KaitlinGrey
      @KaitlinGrey  Год назад +1

      I kept these for BOTW notes and for that purpose they were awesome! TOTK would definitely be a lot more complex to map out but it would be super cool!

    Omg I am in love with the BOTW reference maps... I've wanted to create something like that for myself but I don't know where to start with finding the photos of the individual regions!

      Dude! I have you covered, I found a website that has photos of the individual regions (these are the ones I used in my journal). Here’s the link if you’re still looking for them (scroll to the bottom and you’ll see all 15 region maps): game8.co/games/LoZ-BotW/archives/292501

    This year I used the 1/2 year stalogy. I already went through one book. I had jan, feb, mar, and apr in my first book. I plan to use 2 more 1/2 year stalogies to get me through the year. I do use one page per day. I add a calendar in the beginning of the month and use a few pages to track weight, sleep, exercise, and menstrual. I also have a goals section. I am loving it so far, but I use a midori weeks calendar as well and that’s something I plan to change for next year. It’s easy for me that way because I can easily write future events in the Midori and I can reference things faster, but I don’t like that I have to carry two chunky A6 notebooks. So next year I plan to use a system more like yours and do all the months that I am planning to use the stalogy for in the front of the book. But I want to add weekly spreads on two pages and then do my dailies. I’m going to use a full year stalogy next year as well and since I will still be using some pages as trackers, I don’t know if I will need 2 or 3 stalogies next year. We’ll see 😊.

      ooooh nice, that sounds like a really good system! I may also add in some weekly spreads but idk we shall see :P

    July is the month when I like to try out what I may want for the next year since planners usually roll out in September. This July, I'm going to test a 3 book system: Hobo Cousin daily pages for a daily recap, A B6 slim TN inserts for a daily log, and another B6 slim insert for found items and random thoughts throughout the day.

    Hey friend! I’m glad you’re saving your zequenz book for a different thing. I saw another YT chunk it up and it could not handle it. You may like the Sterling Ink books as well. Idk what I’m doing with my life next book 😂😭

    I've got 3 books my hobonichi which I journal in every day and that seems to widdle down the room for waffling on and on which if I do need to waffle on past the end of that page I have a CVS caliber notebook that I have set up for waffling on and then I have another CVS Caliber notebook for doing currently inked pens and inks :) and they work great I love that I have everything in one-ish book :)

    I just recently picked up a Jibun Techo Days which I find great for the monthly calendar and using to put my daily planner tasks. I wish it had a section for a weekly calendar as well so I'm thinking about putting that weekly calendar in another journal.
    Also using A6 and B6 Stalogies -- but currently kinda flip/flopping between what I use each for. One is morning pages and the other is the "everything else" journaling.
    I used to use a regular size Traveler's notebook for a lot of these things but found the size of it to be awkward. It's very tall for how narrow the pages are.

      I think hobonichi sells a small weekly calendar insert that you could slip into your Jibun! Loveeee all the journal experimenting going on 😍

    it is nice video. there are many people using the concept of commonplace book. frankly it is not realistic to keep everything in one place and to retreat the useful information. Personal I think a small booklet with specific subjects would helpful. I don't like fieldnote book either. I like Midori MD light B6, although it comes with A6 too. hobonichi memo pad is also good.

    I know some people are complete minimalists when it comes to journaling (I know I am and is why Ilike your journaling style) but have you thought about making a seperate journal for your gaming? Without spoiling, Tears of the Kingdom is about three times bigger than Breath of the Wild should you decided to log down and play the game. That would really chunk up your normal journal. 💦

    • @KaitlinGrey
      @KaitlinGrey  Год назад +1

      lol I appreciate your non spoilers comment, I’ve been playing TOTK and know exactly when you’re referring to and let’s just say when I discovered that tidbit, the idea of mapping out TOTK went out the door 🤣 However I am glad I did it for Breath of the Wild! But yes, definitely would include gaming info in my commonplace book since I tend to replay games, so it would be easier to reference 🙌🏻
