i love your clean and minimal aesthetic! i’m trying my very first hobonichi planner for 2024 and it’s the weeks. maybe one day i’ll try out the cousin like you! ❤️🩹
I wanted to pop in and say thank you so much for sharing your content. I have been using the Cousin on and off for the past few years and feel I’m just getting into the groove of how it can work for me, but still struggle to identify what format works best for me (I fluctuate between wanting it to be a creative outlet but also functional). The comment about making it minimalistic as possible to reduce the decision fatigue really spoke to me and I think I need to write that down as a reminder. I love your formatting and simplicity and it looks so good after filling up a few months! There are definitely a few things I will be adding to my own set ups from here.
Great flip-through video! As of September, I've been using my Hobonichi Techo Original as a daily journaling tool, and I'm REALLY liking it so far! The smaller space actually helps me focus on writing about specific events/feelings that happened throughout my day. I'm considering upgrading to a Cousin for 2024, but at the same time I'm not sure if that's necessary since I have other planners that I'm using for my daily/weekly planning. Have a great weekend!
lol this is funny bc I have the cousin, but I was considering going smaller to the original next year but realized I like having lots of space, so we're the exact opposite 🤣 I'm glad the a6 is working for you!
You’re motivating me to buy a Cousin for 2024. I placed an order on release day for A6 Sunday Start Techno…. But I can see myself enjoying both of these in 2024.
Omg, looking at your beautiful penmanship and presentation makes me really want to dust off my 2023 hobonichi cousin and try again! ❤Im so glad you're getting such a blast out of using it. I think when the Cousin works, it really works well.
Superb 🤌🏽 as a dude, I love all the stuff you creative ladies make in your planners/journals, but your minimal, efficient, clean aesthetic really speaks to me. May I ask what printer you have? And the paper you mentioned you can print thin pictures on?
Similar to you, in 2024 I’m trying a Hibino for daily schedule and inbox, with a Weekly insert from Sterling Ink for pre planning my week ahead; Then for on the go/wallet I have three Sterling Ink Passport inserts: Monthly with appointments, Weekly for meal plan and groceries, and lastly plain grid notebook for notes/inbox Aaaand Hobonichi cousin for my goals, memory keeping and all other planning and list making. And a Sterling Ink Standard TN for Health tracking and reference lists… eg cleaning lists, gift lists etc. I wish it was January already! 😂
@@chantallennox1201 you are loaded! I love it. I wanna update after 3 months in 2024. I thought about buying a SI booklet because I also brought a Lauren Phelps Designs notebook.
Ok so question, Kaitlin... when you're filling out your weekly pages, are you using the times at all or are you just more bulleting what happened, so to speak? I use stickers, but I am kind of over them, too. Your minimalist style appeals to me.
so glad i came across your channel!! its so inspiring to see how you use your notebooks and planners! i would love to own a hobinichi some day but its so expensive and unavailable where i live :(((
I love how simplistic your spreads are. What do you use to print your photos for your daily pages? I have been using my hp sprocket but it chunks up my hobo cousin up a lot.
Hey! Tysm! Ok so super simple, I use a laser printer with copy paper (like the cheap kind lol) to print my photos. Definitely not the best photo quality but it’s good enough for me, plus I’ve found the photos haven’t bulked up my planner as much compared to using photo paper
the minimal aesthetic is so nice!!! i can never write that long consistently but it looks so pretyty
Great point! We need to know ourselves to get the most out of our planning.
I love how clean your handwriting is! 💖
Thank you!

Oooooh the weeks is so nice, which pattern/colour did you get? Ty, I love my cousin so much ☺️
Your journal is so well organised and beautiful to look at 😊
Thank you!

Hey, thank you so much! I’m really really glad it resonated, it means a lot 🥹
I love your extreme OCD ❤ beautiful spreads! I’m new on Hobonichi world now for 2025 and your notebook is very inspiring 😊

@@KaitlinGrey Thankos! Honestly, I'm surprised that it is lol Because I do have to write really tiny. But so far it's working well!

Ty! I feel that, part of me was tempted to pick up a weeks, techo original and cousin for 2024 just so I could try them all but somehow I resisted 🤣
Thanks for sharing.. Your handwriting is lovely and the minimal accent of stickers make it perfection.❤❤
That’s too kind, thank you 💕

Ty! I’m really enjoying it so far!! It’s been the perfect mix of a planning tool and journal for documenting life ☀️
Such a beautiful and simple layout! Love it! Thanks for the ideas.
It’s the handwriting for me 🥰 TFS ✨

I use an HP laser printer! Not made for printing photos but I find printing my stuff in copy paper makes them super thin and helps with the bulk
okay i’m now ordering the cousin!! 😍😆
Haha. Bangs means something COMPLETELY different and hilarious to many in the UK and Australia.
So exciting you brought your 2024 planner. This is my first year not buying any hobonichis. I brought all Sterling Ink and that Midori Hibino
Oooooh those are both exciting options 🥳 Love the sound of your lineup, what size did you get from Sterling Ink?

@@KaitlinGrey it’s a B6. I have the weeks and A6 notebook as well. Those are just journaling and maybe EDC bujo
nice and neat. I like your layout designs and handwriting.
Thank you 🧙🏻♂️💕
Eeeee! I’ve been looking forward to a new video on your Hobonichi Cousin! Thanks for posting
Yay!! I’m so glad 💕
i love your style & penmanship. ❤ was looking forward for your new vid and sp excited when i got a notification 🎉

Hey! I totally forgot to mention that but no, I don’t use the times at all haha so it’s more of a rapid log of what happens during the day

love this
I love your spread so much, so neat and organized. What is your go to pen for your hobonichi? and what photo printer do you use? :)
Ty! I use the sarasa gel pen (0.5mm) in brown grey and I print my photos using my home printer (just a basic laser printer with copy paper)
Which pen do you use for writing in your Hobonichi?
I use the Zebra Sarasa 0.5mm gel pen in brown grey!
@@KaitlinGrey thanks!
