You’re welcome, Sam. I’m binge watching your videos. Especially the plein air videos. In one video, you state how you were away from this for 13 years. I was away for 30+ years- computer graphics took over my career. And now, “retired” at 68 yrs old, painting outside has renewed the spirit within me. Your efforts are inspiring. Thank you, and have a Merry Christmas!
Two very pleasing compositions and artworks Sam! Great show too. And the painterly strokes, yes please! Such an important lesson - not giving up part way through. You've done the work to get there, mindset, experience and travelling to an incredible location - with the right tools and materials.. by just painting a few strokes of what you are seeing, something very good should result - And it did 👍🏼
👋Hi Sam, I would have to travel far to find such a wonderful landscape. That's why I really appreciate you showing us your plein air paintings. And anyway, even with ice-cold and cramped fingers you paint much better than I do. Thank you for that, and have a marvelous time.❤
Hi Samuel, you could try out the thin rechargeable heated gloves that have a usb port attached. they have 3 heat settings and I am seeing some artists on You tube now using them. You give very good commentary but I think your videos might benefit by having some short, quiet pauses after you have shared some tips so that the listener has time to process the information. A few moments of audio of the sounds of nature that surround you would be lovely. Happy travels and blessings in your day.
I’m jealous over the variety of landscapes at your disposal in New Zealand.
New Zealand definitely has a lot of beautiful landscapes packed into a small country! I am grateful to live here 😊
I appreciate your experience of plein air painting in frigid conditions. The challenge was met. Magnificent!
Thank you very much! 😊

Thank you so much. It was certainly a challenge especially the second painting. I'm glad I didn't give up 😊

Hermoso video!!! Gracias por compartir!!! En realidad, todos sus videos son increíbles!!
Thanks so much 😊
Very nice video and painting!
Thank you so much 😀
So beautiful there. Find the hobbits please. "How to paint hobbits."
Hobbiton is that far away from this location, maybe an hour or two’s drive 😊
You didn’t list the panels you use
I was trying to slim down my description. The linen panels I use are also not a sponsor.
Do you oil prime them ?
