The lip smacking can mean a lot of different things depending on the species of macaque. From my understanding it is usually a sign of submission, but can also mean “I’m sorry” or “don’t be worried about me, I’m not being dangerous”. I agree the monkey should have someone to socialize with. It also looks somewhat thin, in my opinion.
I looked up this place on trip advisor and its terrible 😢😢😢 I saw even a picture of a dog in a cage just big enough for it to turn around... Apparently the staff are children volunteers
