I guess I am cheap and often wear cotton .. My Polyester long johns are stored just for snowmobiling. I have had a Heated jacket for a year. That really helps. I often carry a thin light down back packers Jacket in my luggage for an extra layer of warmth.. No Bare Skin .. A Neck Gaitor helps a lot .. Heated Grips .. Hand Guards.. I see the African Twins have Bark buster Storm hand guards.. I know have an FXR Snowmobile suit it's rather light and fluffy because it has insulation that floats if you fall through the ice..

It’s such a personal thing. Both ace bikes but one bigger and heavier with a feeling of less tech. I personally for my type of riding, like off road more would sway to the tiger 900 but I’d still love adventures on a at. It’s so personal. Maybe try both and see how your body feels. Big factor for me is the weight. The tiger is considerably lighter so helps confidence
Can this Icelandic adventure be done solo? I am not comfortable in a group of so many adventurists. I would be comfortable riding solo, or with only one other person.

I would say it’s a very bleak environment to be solo for the safety risk but in a pair yeah for sure

No such thing as a stupid question, but yes there are trees, just not a huge amount of them around

Honda do one a year only open to AT owners. It’s called Adventure Roads if you look on their website. Not cheap but it’s a premium trip
