- 2 WEEKS post-op for the arthroscopic surgery on my RIGHT hip and 11 weeks post-op on left hip!
Still relatively immobile, but wanted to go over MY understanding of the differences between the right and left surgeries (I am so NOT A DOCTOR so this is just my attempt to understand and explain!)
I know this video is old but I am currently recovering from a labral repair/ debridement, osteoplasty, and my iliopsoas was so damaged from the deformity they had to cut it. I am hoping this surgery works. You are right when you said the mri really isnt that great they usually find the real issues once inside! I thought i was only having a labral repair surgery. The recovery process is so long and not being able to drive is difficult especially with 2 school aged children! Anyone who has had to go through this long (boring haha) process is one tough cookie!
Hi Eliya, just want to say thank you as your sharing is extremely valuable for me especially the resource on RUclips regarding a real recovery documentation is scarce. I had my left hip fai surgery back in 2019. I thought it was the last time but two years after, a very different pain developed in my right hip after a long walk - so different that I didn’t even think it’s fai. My doctor determined it’s also fai after he took a second MRI. His explanation was the damage on the bone and the pain was not traditional, so it took me a year to determine the cause and confirmed my surgery date in late Dec. I was surprised how quickly I had forgotten all my experience three years ago. Your video comfort me when I felt pain after surgery. :)
Hi Wang I’m so glad the videos have been comforting! We will get through this together : )
