The great Martin Short was in the red chair to talk about the first ever Canadian Screen Awards, which aired Sunday, March 3 on CBC. The new award ceremony is taking the place of the Genies and the Geminis in order to celebrate achievements in both Canadian cinema and television. And who better to host the inaugural ceremony than Martin, who has represented this country brilliantly on both the big and the small screen.

Lockdown has provided a new lease of life to Marty. I discovered Jiminy a year ago, obviously I know of Short from his films but not JG. I am obsessed. He cheers me up so much and Martin is such a sweet funny man.

I saw him here in Australia couple of years ago. and I was waving that Canadian flag proudly as we laugh. I always remember him from SNL and movies call" inter space". and of courses The Three Amigos ...... on on on.. talented funny proudly Canadian man. He was only for half a minute in Curb but that was enough to introduce me to Jiminy Glick. I immediately googled the character's name and couldn't stop watching all those hilarious interviews with Mel Brooks, Ice Cube, Steve Martin etc.
