- May as well jump on the bandwagon before it leaves...
Three years later: 40,000 views. Wow. I seriously wasn't expecting that. The viewcount has absolutely leapt up over the past few days, and I thank everyone who watched my video. This took me an entire day's worth of recording and editing, and while I do think it could've been better, overall I'm still very happy with it. :D

+Adib Rifai During the story, you end up seeing Suicune briefly before it runs away too, its just that those were scripted events and you couldn't battle it until you saw it near Cerulean City, where it'd stay until you caught or KO'd it.
I'm pretty sure she only flees in Gold, silver, and FRLG. (I always thought suicune looked feminine)

I remember these kinds of videos when lots of Pokemon would have lyrics of certain songs as their names. I'm glad this one got recommended and I actually clicked on it. It's sad nobody makes these anymore but it's good to look back on them.

@@eonshade6297 Actually, keyboards from 6 years ago didn’t have a ‘spacebar’ key. A full stop (or you may call it a period) was commonly used to indicate a ‘space’.
@obama prism That’s not a space. That’s a different unicode character that wasn’t even on the keyboard. Most people used a full stop/period.

I love how suicune, a pokemon that constantly runs away throughout the story is called RunAroundN or how Tyranitar is used for desert and uses sand stream. This really is a hidden gem!
It is TERRIFYING how much effort went into this. The movements of each pokemon is perfectly in sync with the song, Tyranitar using sandstorm at 'Desert you', Abomasnow using wood hammer at 'hurt you', it's just...👌
So sad that this never showed up in my recommended until now this is the best video I’ve ever seen

This is a fucking masterpiece, I love all the Pokemon named after the lyrics and have some short-cuts. It has allot of easter eggs, Like when he said "I" it was an Unown in the form of the letter "I", Even at some Pokemon's when telling words like "Cry", He uses the move "Fake Tears". Another example is "Desert you", He then proceeds to take out Tyranitar and make it summon a sandstorm. Allot of effort has been put into this. Could you even believe this was made 11 years ago?

I love how a bunch of the Pokémon were thought out, like Driftloon was "let you down" since its a balloon that like to hold on tight, and Mawile being "goodbye" since it looks likes its walking away, and "desert you" is Tyranitar since they whip up sandstorm like a desert, "whismer is "too shy," and plenty more to keep an eye out.

Even after the actual Rick Astley video reached the billion views if a lot of videos with the Rickroll emerge they can even create an abomination of content that people will love.
Some would hate that because they dislike the Rickrolls while some would simply not care.
I'm one of those people people who actually loves that song (first time I've heard that was, like, 2008 or so) but this video obliterates it because it's both the first ever Pokémon game I've ever finished in my life (mostly because of someone of my then - in 2010 - friends who traded me a Lv92 Torterra in exchange of my starter who was Cyndaquil and up to around the time I would begin to play Let's Go Pikachu I never knew that if you don't have enough badges overleveled Pokémon would hardly listen to you) and a song I enjoy since first hearing in 2008.
That game always brings me a lot of memories from my child past.
Thanks for posting this masterpiece. Looking forward to the song sung by Chatots.
By "finished" i don't just mean beating Lance but even doing the 8 Kanto gyms and beating Red (a thing that i never arrived to do in the original GBC games that i also have because of that cave where i even gave up due to it being atrocious) and it's worth noting that i never finished either Gen 4 (it took quite a lot of time to figure it out how to unlock the final gym city) or 3 (got stuck in the nightmarish Victory Road because I've had trouble finding the route for the league then never got to beat the league, farthest I've gone was Drake before all 6 party members perished)

When I read the title I thought you just had rickroll as a custom cry for many different Chatots but this is much better
