Bro you changed my life now🤣🤣 I'm learning how to use blender to make animations for school. I still have some issues with understanding the programme but it will become better with practice.
Bahaha 🤣 no problem bro 👌. Man, back in a day this software would probably make my life easier to get my bachelor in art 😆. But it wasn't the case😅. Dude this tool is powerful so don't hesitate to make some good use 😁👍.
Wow, you´re videos are so useful! Best grease pencil tutorials I´ve seen far! Thanks a lot!
Awww thank you I'm so happy so hear it 🙏😊. I'm glad some Blender fellows can make good use it 😁👍🌟
Just subbed this is the best video explaining how to do it thank youuu
Thank you so much for the support 🙏😊 it means a lot! I'm still here for any questions even if I haven't posted new video I keep an eye on every comment 🙂👍 Cheers!!!
Really solid video. Brings together the new features with a clear workflow
Thank you so much mate! Yeah! I’m so excited to try the new features. Definitely a game changer in the process 👍
@@tuat555 the mult fill is insane.
Good man I like your videos? very thanks broo.
I came here just to learn how to colour best in Blender but I learnt even more stuff, you have been of great help. I gonna susbscribe
Feels good to hear that 😃 thank you so much🙏! I always try to provide as many tips that I learn from projects because I know how hard it is to color in Blender. And making videos is also the best occasion for me to answer and help Blender fellows 😉👍
Great tutorial, i got out a lot from it!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that tutorial helps you 🙏😊. Cheers!
Thank u very much
You're very welcome 🙏😊
this is called tutorial!!! easy to undestrand! keep it up
Thank u so much 🙏😁🌟 so awesome to hear it 💯
it would be nice if you tried to do some animation in tahoma2d!
and it would be nice to see your original stuff
interesting video :)
Tahoma2d? OkayI will check it 😉 👍. This actually some characters suggested by some of my followers that I redraw in this tutorial. Yeah I manage to work on different things at the moment but you will see some original stuff 🙂👌Cheers!
yo what do i do if wanna shade a circle from like the edges cuz it colors in the whole thing..
How do you set up your layers? I'd rather sketch the image first then trace it then fill. When I did that on blender using that set up I couldnt fill anything?
Awww I see🤔, let me try to help you👍. Make sure that your trace image (aka clean drawing) is always above your fill layer. You fill layer has to be below. If you had this you're good. So, for filling the drawings you have to make sure that your fill layer is selected (it should be highlighted in green when you click on it). In tools select the bucket tool (fill tool) and also check the material that you use. The solid fill material (basic material) is the one that you need to fill it's looks like a grey fill circle. Now you should be able to fill your drawings. I hope it will help, just let me know 🙂👍
Can you do how to do shading like the fate heavens feels
I did check real quick the anime (sorry cuz I didn’t know the title ^^) For what I seen, I guess it’s possible to make something close and similar. I need to have a look at some shots to figure out the shading style ;)
Can we do layering and blending of colour as we do in manual pencil color sketching?
Owww good question. Do you mean, being able to blend one color from a layer with another one? Like mixing 2 colors on 2 separate layers? It's probably possible. I can't tell you much about it cause I haven't explored that method yet. I might check this out closely. 🙂
@@tuat555 yes, I was asking exactly the same. Since I am looking to progress from pencil sketching to digital art it's one of the things I was looking forward to.
Sorry to bug you, but do you know if there's a way to merge two overlapping fill paths into one. I keep ending up with a lot of fill scraps. Illustrator and the like have union, minus back, cutout, etc. but I haven't found a function like that in GP. Seems like that's an easier feature to program than some of the other features. Thanks for all your help! Old man making career comeback lol.
I think if I select them both and hit "P" (Separate) that ought to do it.
Nah you're fine 😉👍. Actually that's a good question because in some of my old project I wanted to know if there a possibility to this type of thing that you could do in illustrator...since grease pencil is also a vector base 🤔... but I couldn’t find a hint of solution 🙁... so maybe the Blender engineers should work on it 😅. I'm agree with you it would be a great feature to add 👌
@@tuat555 Thank you sir! And my idea about "Separating" just converts it into a separate stroke. That's okay...if that's the biggest problem I have, I will survive. God bless!
@@analogman9697 Separate like Pressing V on your keyboard?. (V Stands for Rip Vertices). you have to be in edit mode first then Select the Vertices (Lines) you want to Separate Apart, then Press V on your Keyboard. bam! Separated.
incase you can't Select the Line you want (or the Part). make sure you are in "vertice" Select mode, press 1 on your keyboard to be in that Mode
Press 2 to be in another mode and Press 3 to be in Face Select Mode. by Default (for my PC) its set to #3.
so make Sure you are in 1 XD.
you want to Select Lots of them very Fast?. Press W while in Edit mode. it changes the Selected mode so you can Change them Fast.
Keep Pressing W so you can go back to normal Mode. xD
EDIT: Added "V" "then Press V on your Keyboard"
Thank you for your reply 🙏😊 that's actually a very interesting and smart method to do this 👏🙂. Fantastic, you taught me something 🌟
dude i'm following this and i'm still not getting trouble with the bucket tool to work it don't want to fill so what am I doing wrong.
Sure 😉👍 I gave you an answer on your last comment. Hope it will help you to solve your issue. Cheers!
Hi, I draw 2 circles inside one another. Fill tool covered inside circle. I see when you painted the face it didnt override eyes and other stuff. how did u achiev that? is it on another layer?
Hi 👋😃! Oh I think I know that issue. Okay so basically I make sure my linart is on a single layer just above the color layer. So your color layer is underneath. 👍. Then in the case of coloring 2 circles inside one another is very tricky and I believe it's kinda a glitch. In that situation, start coloring the bigger circle first (it will color also color the inner circle). Finally pick another to color for inner circle 😃👍. I know how annoying this situation is and I hope I answered you question 🙏😊
ruclips.net/video/GBZiu3rYyTo/видео.html Maybe this video will interest you about coloring around 4min25s I show a little trick with the 2 circle example. Let me know if that helps 😉👍
@@tuat555 Wow, Thank you so much for reply. Your tutorials really helped me
Thanks, Guru. i'll Subscribing you....
Haha do you mean real master Guru of Blender 😆. I’m flattered but I’m not really much skilled that him 😅 sounds good tho thank you so much 🙏😊
what is the purpose for setting the blend mode to "multiply" and "divide"?
So to me it's a tip to cell shading quickly the drawing. On multiply with a single dark tone (like a grey for exemple) I can draw the shadows part. On divide with a single bright tone (around a pure white color) I can bring up the lights part. It's just an option that I wanted to show here 🙂. But you could eventually do the same job by picking yourself the exact dark tone and light done from the base color. It will make you create more colors in your palette 🎨 but it will also give you the choice of your desire style 🙂👍 As long you have a good understanding of how you're comfortable with the software you completely free to play with 😊👌💯. Hope it does answer 😃 cheers!!!
@@tuat555 oh, I see. Thank you!
You're welcome, it's a pleasure to help 😊👍

Sure check this video out ruclips.net/video/GBZiu3rYyTo/видео.html it might be helpful for coloring purposes 😁👍
You are really creative
can you teach me about 2D animation? i want to learn more
I have previous experience in Blender, but when you measure the scene in terms of movement in the animation things get complicated
Does it need visual feeding or learning to study movements
Thank you 🙏😊 I really much appreciate it. So the way I proceed to study movement is to watch and analyze lots of video/reference/movie. What I mean by that is to watch (a sequence) in frame by frame. Then you breakdown things like camera angles but also character poses and timing. It can be very complicate a the time to care about everything but what I usually do is capturing the motion. I do use reference when my brain cannot provide me the correct picture. By either filming myself or having recourse of basic 3D, the reference suppose to materialize your vision. After doing this, moving on will be easy. This is how I deal with movement when things get complicated 😃👍.
It looks great, but I'm wondering what the purpose is of doing this? If it's just to get a high quality image, isn't it better to do it in illustrate or photoshop?
My understanding is that grease pencil serves purpose for 2D animations. So I'm a bit confused when people make these type of drawings (unless you plan to animate this). If someone can explain what this is is used for, that would be great!
Definitely agree with you 100% 👍. And I'm not joking at all because I truly understand your thinking and this work could 10x faster with some of my other favorites software like photoshop or animate cc. So why this video? So since I started showing my work here on this channel some viewers were curious to know "hey man how do you do that stuff with grease pencil? Did you really use blender for drawing? How do you manage to do that"... Here the story of this video. It’s also true that is not animated but my idea beside of it was to tell people "hey guys👋 if you want to animate inside grease pencil from scratch here all the step that I'm doing for a single frame, from the inking to the coloring" 😄 ... and yeah that's it👌... Free to people to choose what they prefer. I'm just here to showing an option with this software 😉. Thanks for all of these questions I really hope to give you a clear answer. CHEERS 🍻!!!
Thank you for the detailed reply, this definitely answers my questions. I have watched a few of your other videos too and they're really useful, so I subscribed! Thanks again!
Thank you for the support that's so cool 🙏🙂. I'm glad you appreciate the contents it means a lot and if it does help it just perfect 😉👌. Cheers!!!

Thank you so much for you good feeback, much appreciated🙏. Trully sorry for the bad quality sounds 😓, I will do my best to improve much more the commentary side and volume for good understanding. Cheers 😊
