      This is a PC mod, but as far as consoles go, I hope that they do get this skin for Sub and Rain. This skin does indeed look AMAZING!!!!! I had to remove my old Noob Saibot mod to have this one but it was worth it!

    Good suggestions but my only real disagreement is with Frost’s snowball freeze being an ambush because imagine getting comboed 60% then bringing her out towards the end of your combo to time the snowball to refreeze the opponent during the last hit and extending the combo by another 15% 😂 so now you just ate 75% lol
    NGL, I still prefer that they would go in that direction and make the game more nutty with super buffs to everyone rather than minor nerfs on nerfs every time. I actually find the gameplay to be fun but if the complaint is that the gameplay is not fun then obviously nerfing characters is the opposite of what would make them more fun

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the Frost Ball being an Ambush would certainly require adjustments. But that buff would single-handedly make Frost a very compelling Kameo and not just for Quan Chi.

    I've been saying this for years now! After MK1 came out I have BEEN saying that I wish the next MK game would just go back to a regular fighter v fighter game - no kameos, no variations. MK9 WAS the last MK game where we had a FULL and COMPLETE fighter. Sub-Zero needs his slide, klone, and ice ball at minimum. And he needs to have moves in his kit that aren't dependent on a kameo to make up for his weaknesses. Hopefully the next MK game we get classic MK, MK9 style!

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад +3

      Please do not misunderstand me - though I do love MK9 and would love for MK13 to go back to MK9's style of characters, I very much still love and enjoy MK1's Kameo System and would be quite happy if it returned in MK13/MK2.
      In MK9, when your character had a bad matchup, you didn't have any kind of method of making that match easier for your character - literally the only thing you could do was play that match in a particular way or pick another character.
      In MK1, you can both switch your Kameo and gameplay in a particular way to make the match better for your character. Also, the Kameos allow you to differentiate yourself from other players of your character to a greater degree than what was available in MK9.

      I think the kameo idea is super fun and nice for combos, just needs some work. feels like each character and kameo could use some more options

      @@mrAPchemI, too, LOVE the kameo system. When I first saw this I was afraid that the game might be very unpredictable and guess what? It is! And I love it! They're basically variations for character, but ALOT. I hate how people are crying about the kameo system cuz they got dem skill issues 😂. This game probs have the most combos compared to any other Mk (and people say there's only one combos😂)

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад

      @@zetprimordial7087Yes indeed!!!! Once I saw what the Kameos could do and then played the Beta, I was forever sold on them. They should be a part of every subsequent MK game, except they should be their own mode rather than be something that is foisted upon everyone.
      Having said that, Kameos are a much better version of the Variation System from MKX/MK11 because of their universal nature and because characters are much better designed in their base form. Not to mention, the mechanics of the game are more balanced overall.
      I think that it's the lack of many of those mechanics (wakeup roll, U2/U3, Breakaways, 11-frame Fatal Blows, perpetual 50/50s, uncontestable jump-ins, etc...) along with the game being more difficult with the Kameos, plus the game's premature status that is causing the oceans of vitriol that the game is getting.
      Plus, like you said, mfs don't have the skill that they think they do, so they'll blame everything else for their losses except themselves.

    Here’s the thing, I’ll hear people say “MK11 was better because of…” and it’s usually that they’ll bring up Variations, and say it as something over Kameos. What they don’t realize is Kameos are Variations. It’s basically the same system, but you can use it on anyone instead of them being locked to a specific character. This makes MK1 a sandbox fighter, which to me is elevating everything that makes a simple clearcut fighter like MK9 great into something even better. If you don’t want to use it, you merely opt out by simply not utilizing a Kameo.
    And as opposed to Variations, these movesets that are adding what the character doesn’t do on their own. Variations at their worst (ie MKX), separated strings like Raiden’s superman or teleport into their own variations, and you couldn’t use his full kit because of this. What Kameos allow, is the ability to add additional moves and this creates moving metas. Characters aren’t locked into an endgame meta as quickly because there’s so many possible combinations of play that people are still figuring out as a community.
    For me MK1 removed the worst parts of MKX/11 and made it a lot like 9, in a refreshed new way. And with all MK “lacks” in modes, I see it as a no nonsense “good old fashioned” fighting game, no bs, just MK, but it’s single selling feature enhances that just a little bit more.

      This is such an amazing comment right here!
      MK11 is the better product and a far more complete game than MK1 is. But in the one area that matters the most - the in-match gameplay - MK1 surpasses both MK11 and MKX in character viability, player expression and fun. The Kameo System is the evolved form of the Variation System for all the reasons that you mentioned - it takes characters, most of whom are fully-completed and fleshed-out and allows them to be used in a variety of ways.
      You know that I play Sub-Zero. There isn't another Sub-Zero anywhere that uses Sareena (particularly in the corner) the way that I use her - unless they watch this channel. And I can only use him like this with Sareena right now. If Cyrax gets buffed in the way that I hope he does, then I could use him this way too, but his bomb setups and Kopter moves will still give me unique tech that is only possible with that pair. Sub-Goro will not work like that, Sub-Sonya will not work like that, Sub-Khameleon doesn't even work like that.
      Sub-Zero is alleged to be a Bottom-5 character in the game, possibly even dead-last on the tier list. Yet, the Kameo System gives him all this depth. If this is true for the worst character, then it's true for everyone else also, even if they haven't explored it yet.
      And what you said about MK1 being the best of MKX/MK11 and feeling like MK9 is precisely how I feel. Based on how it was launched and with all the issues/bugs/missing kontent, this game should be an utter failure, but its amazing gameplay is the only thing saving it and keeping people playing. Had MK11 been released in this state, it would be dead by now because its gameplay wasn't even half as compelling or deep as MK1's.
      MK1 does need lots of TLC in terms of fixes, kontent and modes, but that's really all. The gameplay just needs tweaks here and there, particularly with weaker characters and lesser-used Kameos. Other than that, MK1 is amazingly fun and will keep me satisfied until the next game drops.

      MK 11 was a terrible game. It only made sense below Demi-God Rank where you didn't even know what a flawless block reversal combo was. There were also massive character differences in strength that made some matchups almost a guranteed loss. (Rememeber Fujin, Jakie, Cetrion, Kabalin). Top tiers were so far from the rest of the cast.
      Grabs were true auto shimmys. You could enchance a special move after seeing if it hit or not.
      Anti-airs were prayers. Remember Air Gas Kabal? Member?
      Nasty Zoning with projectiles that recover untra-fast. ZONYA for the win.
      Your oponent being at advantage on wakeup. lol.
      Being full comboed because your oponent slid out of your combo :D
      MK 11 was a horrible fighting game. The only redeeming thing about it for me was I loved frost. Looked great and had fun moves.
      Besides that, MK 11 had some of the worst fighting game mechanics ever. MK 1 has problems. But at least 99% of everything in the game is reactable and has tech to deal with it. And you dont get full comboed for pressing a button.

  • @nonfinale685

    No. Shujinko being in front is good for zoners. Takes a projectile in counterzoning. Pnd ketchup used him for a bit on his rain

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, that's correct. But if you're not dealing with a zoner and you're merely trying to get him charged, Shujinko being in front of the player is bad for him because he'll be out most of the fight.
      The player should get to decide whether Shujinko appears behind or in front of them, and then for other Kameos like Sareena, Sektor, Sonya and some others, they need to appear behind the player so that they stop being meat shields when the players isn't wanting them to be.

    As a person who uses goro I agree with everything you said. When I use him I use the up-punch and occasionally the grab.

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад

      Exactly. I would have LOVED to use Goro alongside Sub-Zero because those were my two mains in MKX. But Goro's throw doesn't help Sub that much and side-switches the opponent, which messes up his corner game majorly. And then his Up-Punch, though good, doesn't really compliment Sub as well as I'd like it to. Sub's best strings are 21 and F12 - Goro has nothing for them.

      @@mrAPchem I watched it, it's cool,but was kinda hoping for more in-depth conversation,I feel he needs a lot of changes. Like removing some gaps,ex ice ball to be double the speed, freeze duration to be increased also,less damage scaling,not much less,but less,it would be dope that he starts slide from crouching position,less clone recovery,some way to make his overheard safe,for example to be to hits,so you can check them with first and second would lunch,maby this is too much,what do you think?

    • @mrAPchem
      @mrAPchem  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheNikolaYo Sub-Zero would certainly benefit from those changes, but if he received everything that you suggested, he'd wind up being scrubby, which would then lead to nerfs.
      In terms of priority, I feel that Sub needs these changes:
      #1. Faster Ice Ball
      #2. Less Klone Recovery
      #3. Shrink His Gaps
      The faster Ice Ball would help him in every area - he'd be able to get safe, meterless damage like Scorpion and so many other characters in the game up close, get higher damage from AAs because he could freeze people after a S1, and then get free combo damage from more projectile trades from range.
      The slightly shorter Klone recovery would stop him from getting killed after cancelling into Klone by everyone in the game, but not make him stupid by making himself safe after everything. Armor would still blow him up on a read, along with certain Kameos, but he could at least give himself a measure of safety. Also, it would strengthen his Korner game with EX-Klone.
      Shrinking his gaps is beneficial in ways that I don't need to explain and makes sense because his strings aren't powerful enough to justify that level of weakness.
      I wouldn't buff Sub-Zero any further than that. Kameos already make his Overhead safe and give him respectable damage. His slide goes full-screen, is too fast to react to, and now thanks to Khameleon and Janet, allows for combos, so it's fine if it has a weakness or two.
      It's entirely possible that Sub-Zero could be the weakest character in the game, but even with that, he really only needs those few slight tweaks that I mentioned rather than an overhaul. His other tools are strong, but not dumb and that perfectly describes Sub-Zero also.
