  • Welcome to Raymondville, Texas, where the rich tapestry of history meets a charming small town. As we venture through Raymondville's historic downtown district, with quaint shops, bustling cafes, and an old historic theatre, the echoes of generations past mingle with the locals going about their day.
In 2003 the movie "Valley of Tears" came out, and focused on the small agricultural town or Raymondville. The story follows the struggles of race relations in the 70s, 80s, and 90s by recording the confrontations of the local farm workers and the towns Anglo farmers.

Seems like my hometown grew a little ? Downtown shifted east. Class of 1971, left home to see the world and exotic places. Yeah, like Vietnam. Weather and culture kept me on the West Coast since then. Miss the small-town life, not enough to leave sunny San Diego. Would like to hear from anyone in the senior class.

The Raymondville Courthouse is a historical building. And you also forgot to visit the chamber of commerce that's a little museum of Raymondville. You should have also passed by the High school it's a new school they built and we also have a new stadium. Good video though.

Cool! I'm kind of a nerd for those old movie theaters; the look and the signage. I liked reading about the history of the old theatre in town.
