Please change your outro please and thank you!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
No we need Vargas
Can we trust Atlas? Is Irons the CEO?
I Like Graves quote "I don't make threats, I make guarantees" you gotta admit that's a good quote
Agreed
And it’s one of the messages when you die
That one is so old and overused. Graves is little more than an annoying assortment of clichés.
@@Muschelschubs3r but still left a big impact on the campaign you cannot deny
@@Muschelschubs3r Who else said that exact quote?
I believe that Graves wasn’t in the tank, but it was instead SOMEONE ELSE operating the tank, and it was just Graves voice being projected through.
the tank was probably remote controlled
agreed, I also believe he's alive
Yeah, I believe that too
Same
@@mysticalmayhem8546 could be but highly doubt it, probably people he employed to operate the tank while he distracted Ghost Team on the radio
Graves is such a stereotypical American, and when he speaks broken Spanish, it’s like icing on the cake
Mhm so typical American he commits war crimes on foreign soil
As opposed to an American who is supposed to know Spanish, noooo it’s the other way around, anybody here is supposed to know English!!
Line him up next to his a-mi-gos
That is actually Mexican, not Spanish
🗿
It was an amazing touch by the Deva to make Graves name in the subtitles go from blue to red in the middle of the conversation at the gate. That’s when you knew shit got real.
Agreed
Deva?

Also when Price calls Shepherd his name turned from blue to yellow then red
Graves was my favorite character in MW2. Just so well written and played. I think he was the most dangerous character. Competent, calculated and does what he's told. His animations and facial expressions were spot on. It's like IW spent a considerable amount of time perfecting his facial expressions, to the point that he's coming back. He was too strong a character we never see the body so I agree, he's coming back.
"Soldier, I don't make threats. I make guarantees."
@@valeriebasta7983let’s not do this
Plot twist:
*Graves wasn’t in the tank, in the tank were just other Shadow Company Operators. The Shadow tank crew were just providing distraction on Soap, and Roldofo so Graves can escape. The reason we hear Graves on the radio is because Graves made communication with Soap to make him believe he was in the tank*

“I wasn’t in that tank”
I liked Graves, wished he didn't die. He was dope when he was a "good guy" helping 141. And even better as a bad guy.
I didn't die I'm still here
@@philipgraves2955 yo what nah wtf how are u alive
There are theories that Graves wasn't in the tank, he might remote controlling it, he was just talking in comms.
Remember if you didn’t see a body you there’s a high chance they’re not dead, even if you do see a body there’s a high chance they’re not dead, either way graves is definitely still alive
@@CDP2026 I'm definitely still alive
I love how when they are that the gates of the base, Graves' name changes from blue (ally) to red (enemy) when he says "Shepherd sends his regards." At that moment, it's official. Same for Shepherd when he is talking to Price.
Ain’t know one gonna believe in yo telegrams
“Mr. Salieri sends his regards”
One detail that was not explored was the scar on Graves’ right cheek, if you notice that scar is a straight line that leads directly toward his right ear and if you looked closely enough you would notice that there is a piece of it missing which leaves me to come up w a theory believing that there was a situation in Graves’ career when he got into a gunfight and a bullet skimmed his cheek and taking a small fragment of his ear leaving him a reminder to this day
What does that mean?

I think Graves will return, maybe as a playable character, like Alex did in MW19, or maybe in the coop mode as a boss battle, either way he’ll return.
He’ll probably return as an ally of the 141
I was bummed when he turned out to be a bad guy. I was really hoping he'd become a playable MP operator
@@Deathmare235 Maybe not an ally but he’s definitely coming back as an important player in the story
In the campaign when ghost took his mask off his hair and head shape looked very similar to Alex. But it’s not him :(
@@GreninjaGamer25 nah I feel like he’ll be an ally he wants revenge against shepherd
I have a feeling graves wasn’t actually in that tank or at least didn’t die in the explosion if he was (somehow)

Shadow is actually introduced at the end of the OG Modern Warfare 2. Their the mercs the Shepherd has guarding him at Site Hotel Bravo
WOW REALLY!??? Almost like this video isn’t about CURRENT MWII with a COMPLETELY NEW STORY 💀
Bummed that he died honestly. He was an interesting character, and also just doing his job. He wasn’t evil or anything, all he did was follow orders. Shepherd is the real bad guy
There’s some theories claiming he was remote controlling the tank and he might return in MW3
Well uh
He and the Shadows where the ones who massacred a whole city-
After watching the whole video, you’re probably right. I put money on the fact that graves probably was not in that tank. I bet he was just on the comms. I really hope we see him again
@@TheKlone594 or in the dlc, let’s hope. Even with the bad things he did I was really intrigued by his character and he was likeable.
@@_TheForeverVirgin_ all following orders. Not that it isn’t terrible, because it is. But when you break it down and listen to what he said and who he was hunting/killing, the only “good” people he tried killing was 141. Everyone else were harboring Hassan, dirty cops, and people involved with the cartel. And even though it amounted to war crimes, those people were not good people Yanno. Like I said it’s terrible don’t get me wrong but In his mind you could say he was fighting a good fight
credit to Graves in all honesty, he had the balls to actively betray and fight with Soap and Ghost
In the contrast to OG MW2; I'm glad that Graves didn't just kill Soap, Ghost and Alejandro right off the bat, but tried to convince them to leave first. Also I believe we'll hear of him in the future, maybe during season 2 or later as new operator or cutscene character. Anyway just like you said brother: no body on screen, no confirmed kill.
Did anyone else notice when capturing Valeria when Graves gets off the helicopter he replaced his missing Shadow Cmp patch with the 1st Marine Raiders division patch from MW19? So more lore is Graves was a marine before becoming a PMC.
If anyone knows the Duke Nukem Series, Commander Philip Graves has the same name as the general from Duke Nukem who was General Philip Graves. I wonder if some of the people who worked on Call of Duty actually worked on Duke Nukem in the past.
Fill Graves. It's an innuendo. Probably not even his real name.
I don't think he's dead. Normally in past COD campaigns if you don't see the dead body they're probably alive. Honestly though the betrayal was rough. He was an absolute bro.
Graves was such a funny character tbh, idky he didn't seem bad to me at all
Also fun fact: The voice actor of Graves is also the voice actor of Rafe from Uncharted 4
That’s why he sounded so familiar
Graves was honestly a great Motard American. I really wish they didn’t make him change sides like that. You can tell deep down, he’s a chill ass dude with a little bit of leeway with his moral compass, who you’d probably have a drink with.
He definitely has a lot of leeway when it comes to his moral compass, but the guy definitely does care about his men and I do believe that he at least thinks he’s fighting for the “good side” with everything that he does (much like everyone else in the world really). Graves also didn’t want to kill TF-141 or Alejandro’s soldiers either, otherwise the Shadows would have just shot everyone in the back of their heads immediately after the mission was over before any verbal confrontation could happen at all.
That said, Graves did massacre quite a sizable portion of that small town. Yes yes, I understand that a lot of those townsfolk who were killed were corrupt cops/officials and gang-affiliated individuals, but it was still very dark how they went about doing it. Even for a supposedly lawless town, it was still morally dubious of him to start dishing out vigilante justice like that, basically acting as if he were The Punisher with a private army.
------------
On the flip side, to be fair, I understand that it has also been argued that everyone in the game has dirt on their hands and nearly every named-character onscreen seems to have done some questionable things in these games. Captain Price especially goes to some very dark places in MW2019 and has never been shy about admitting that he has dirt on his hands either, even asking you to do some morally dubious acts with him too.
And if we include the old Modern Warfare games, there’s also Price’s very questionable act of detonating an EMP over the East Coast of the United States without any type of authorization from anyone. Realistically, doing that would cause just as many (if not, more) American deaths overall on the East Coast just as it would to an invading military force. And this act would arguably not even necessarily be needed to win a war, especially when factoring how terrible a long-term war would play out for any military invading the US and how stretched thin the invading force’s supply lines would be.
------------
So yeah, I’m pretty sure these people are all crazy, but as David Grossman might say (and I’m completely paraphrasing here), it would be better to have these controlled-psychopaths on your side in combat rather than be in a war without them.
Motard??? You sound like a marine lol
"chill ass dude"... casuallu slaughtered a whole neighborhood of mostly innocent people.
@@jay2thaudy "mostly"
@@jay2thaudythe people that were actually killed by SC were cartel and corrupt police officers
We first saw Graves controlling the missile that killed the General in the beginning
What I like to theorize is that Rudolfo ordered Graves to kill Iranian Quds Force General Ghorbrani to get his loyal men to align with AQ and push the war on terror to lessen the war on drugs in Mexico. It gave an advantage for Las Almas cartel. And of course this is all according to a plan that allows the newly rising political union from South America. The Federation of the Americas. To take foot into North America. By taking over Mexico, it makes North America scared of Latin America. And of course having Gabriel Rorke to pose as an associate leader of his front PMC who pretend to side with the new North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
If you think he killed Shepherd, he killed an Iranian General named General Ghorbani.

I honestly really love the character and they need to bring him back.

If he does return, I hope they give him a redemption arc of sorts. Maybe have him help TF141 help take down Shepard because of his ties to him. It’s highly unlikely but hey, doesn’t hurt to guess. 🤷🏻♂️
I understand the viewpoint with this, but I think there’s definitely no going back after killing civilians
@@Bruh-bp6nn Yuri and Bell are 2 examples of characters with “redemptions” who formerly worked with Russian terrorists. (Who likely caused the deaths of many civilians)
With the little bad Graves did in the campaign, he could definitely redeem himself
I feel like he’d want revenge against shepherd with him clearing up shadow company though I doubt the 141 would trust him it’d be like price and Yuri but 10x worse
@@thegreenpatriot8896 Bell was brainwashed though also Yuri is really underrated
@@Deathmare235 He was technically given a choice in the end though, or at least the player was. Probably an unfair choice because his mind was fucked and he didn’t get much time to choose, but still a choice.

Nice I’ve been waiting for you to make a video about Graves, he’s one of my favorites
I think the perfect movie line from The A-Team for Phillip Graves would be, “Your assassins in Polo shirts”
I bet Graves will be a Operator or a Spec Ops / DMZ boss in later Seasons if we are using Inkslashers dead Cod characters logic

It's been so long since I've watched a cod story or an inks lashed vid I feel very nostalgic.
did anyone notice this? "phil graves" = fill graves?
The timing of the changing of the Graves name from blue to red >>>>
Great vid ink❤️
I'm so glad you know my story!
Let’s gooo graves was my favorite character
I love how you break down the storyline
Graves is my favorite character who is not only handsome, an awesome character, and it all comes to money at that level because money often equals survival so don’t a liar and say otherwise.
Graves coming back to life in mw3 is going to make a hell of a lot more sense than Krevchenko and woods in bo2 when he had a bomb vest detonate.
Tank man went boom
The way he pronounces “vaqueros”💀
I have a feeling that graves wasnt in the tank and somebody else was in it since he never shows him self and its just a recorded tape being sent
Dont we actually see him launching the Rocket at the beginning of the game on the General and where we see the first time those Container Rockets? Before we even hunt down Hassan
Wouldn't be the first time a villain got turned into a charcoal briquette and survived. Looking at you Kravchenko...
And Alex too. I mean he's not a villain, but he survived too. Same for Woods too, in the case of protagonists.
I liked Graves a lit before the betrayal. I thought he was actually going to end up with the team when shepherd eventually betrayed them. Like immediately after the air support mission was so shocking to me.
I wish he didn't die. He was a cool character that turned evil in a stupid plot
Lazy writing literally a complete 180
EXACTLY! In the literal cutscene just before, Graves is the one to make sure Vargas made it off the oil rig alive, then calls the guys in 141 and Vargas "brother", he even then bro hugs SOAP, then boom he just betrays them... it makes 0 sense.
I wish we get an operator for him. I honestly don’t think he’s dead
I hope graves returns. He was a interesting character.
I believe if we don’t see his body then he’s still alive
He might've died really quick but at least he's one of the few cod characters to get his own boss fight
When Graves name turned from blue to red I knew shit was gonna go down lol
Less goooo another great vid!
I always assumed Graves was an alias (or he changed his name after he left the Army).
Phillip Graves ≈ Fill Up Graves
I took a drink every time he said essentially and lost my house and my wife and kids
Graves is definitely the kid that got bullied in high school and chose the military to feel important.
Video starts at 2:23
Graves is the best character from MW2 he a true leader charismatic and cared about his men and doesn’t deserve the hate for the betrayal of 141 when they were at blame
Also IW
He was a Marine Raider dude
When graves says “let the pros handle this.” This is basically every try-hard ever when they lose one round and they have 1-2 friends in their lobby
Graves is one of those CoD villains/characters that we love to hate and hate to love
Philip Graves Think I took him out
Bro this guy is one of my favorites and idek why
I kinda felt killing him was a bit much....especially in the tank.
If anything he should have teamed with 141 to get Shepard. Guy was used and STILL was loyal to Shepard
At least now it’s clear who his true enemy is if he ever comes back
I don’t even believe Graves was in that tank
as soon as I see graves name go red I'm like ah shit here we go again
He might return in a later season, remember, everyone thought Alex died yet he lived. Also based off of the season 1 cosmetics, shadow company could make a comeback, also shepherd fled so he could still be controlling shadow company.
Or shepherd is controlling the 141 again
@@Deathmare235 shepherd is gone AWOL how is he controlling 141
I Hope they add more Shadow Company skins without a near to impossible challenge to gain them
Fun fact about Shadow Company: Shadow Company is the Company protecting Shepherd in the OG MW2
And also Graves will become back as a cyborg soldier. If he actually died, task force 141 would saw his charred corpse and people would buy it. It would’ve been a shocker scene but a satisfying one indeed
they should of added graves as a operator
I would love to see a video on shadow company please. Thank you for all that you do. I have learned so much by watching your channel. Again, thank you.
Phil Graves is the greatest villain name ever!
I wan't a graves skin for MP. Even though hes a enemy he was one of my favorite characters, after ghost of course.
You actually missed in Strike Graves is talking about wanting to hurry and fire the missile. They show the back of him in the missile container-launcher
InkSlasher on Thanksgiving? Awesome 😎
I just thought at the time of beating the mission it was a quick cutscene and tht there was more to be done they didint have time to recover a body but yea I’m curious now to as to his whereabouts and whether or not there will be a dlc story expansion, happy thanksgiving to u bro btw
Graves and shadow company had an intel failure because there are konni group members within his shadow members. That’s why they failed bringing the missiles
He was a crazed treasure hunter seeking Henry Avery’s treasure in a previous life.
5:35 It's Major Hassan lol. How many times you need to get that wrong.
we'll totally see him in a future battlepass its a golden rule with these games. If you didn't see a body, he's not dead.
Shepherd was shady through and through. Using SAS operators and Shadow Company to do his dirty work and cleaning up messes. Graves was an accomplice knowingly but TF141 was in the dark.
I swear any VPN sponsorships on here just makes me remember about the crap that happened at my tech school. Some idiot with a VPN decided to use it as cover to make bomb threats against my school
Fun fact: Shepherd in this MW2 is voiced by the same person who voiced Overlord in the original mw2
