I added these stems to Gazzew Boba U4s (I love the U4Ts but silent was not my cup of tea) To make Holy Bobas only lubed the springs and these instantly became my favorite switch!
Great effort and lovely content that u have put out. Question. Would u make a holy boba or a holy panda, to keep a bobau4t or yok trash purple panda to use as it is? I’m asking because I have polias, boba u4t and yok trash purple pandas. I don’t have enough polias to make all of them. So I’ll keep either u4t stock or yok panda stock to use as it is. Can’t decide, hence I’m watching different videos for more referencing. Thanks!!!
I think since you’ve got the materials you can make 1 or 2 of each switch and see if you like any of ‘em. That way you don’t full send but you can still see whether or not you like frankenswitches
@@toufusoup hmm… that’s quite a good idea. Thanks for sharing that. Hope I can differentiate between each switch feel. Thanks again! Keep the good content coming!
I might need to buy another 90. On sale the value really is nuts *Luckily I'm crazy and got an order of outemu reds recently. I'll try out some polia stems in them.
@@toufusoup I tried it out. The polia stems do in fact work in that type of outemu switch. It feels like a lighter polia, strangely smooth(?). The tactility is comparable to that of a polia. Sidenote: The normal spring ping of the outemu red was reduced to almost unhearable when the stem was changed to a polia stem. I actually might use them in a millmax hotswap pcb for a budget tactile option
Good to hear that I actually wasn’t tripping, yeah, it was strangely smoother, and it has a pretty good amount of tactility all things considered. I’m surprised you still feel something despite having hybridized a linear switch rather than a Tactile switch
damn it im late

I hope your Outemu reds are the ones without the walls (unless they’re still compatible?)
@@toufusoup by walls do you mean the "dust proof" type of stem?
I'll try it out tomortow and see if it works though
Yeah those lol

Do the switches get stuck if u use films on the stock Kailh Polia?
You’d have to use like Kebo films to film them to begin with, MAYBE TX 0.125
@@toufusoup will such thin films make any sound difference then?
Ima stick with cherry Mx blues.
