I thought I'd let you know about the Detroit Diesel colors. I had 30 years experience driving tour, charter, and city buses. The famous Detroit Diesel Green has not been used since the mid-1980's. That is when Detroit, in order to promote it's new "cleaner" DDEC engines, started painting them silver. Around the same time, General Motors sold off it's Detroit Diesel division, and sold its bus production. The last of the 2-cycle Detroits were made in the early 90's. All of the 4-cycle units, easier to comply with pollution regulations, are painted that blue/gray color, like the series 60 in this bus. That engine was original equipment in both MCI and Prevost buses (until Volvo bought Prevost). The Series 60 is a highly reliable bus and truck engine.
