Me and my wife use to live in a one bedroom condo that we bought cash. Had baby number 1, so we bought a 2nd house cash only that had 2 bedrooms. We rented out the last place. 2 yrs after that baby #2 arrived we bought a third house, 3 bedrooms the kids share a one bedroom and my mother in law lives with us. She watches the kids and cooks some times and collect a disability check. Now we just have our last child baby number #3 and were in the process of looking for larger 3 bedroom home or a 4 bedroom home. This is how you build wealth

Thank you for posting this and being so transparent ❤️❤️ I’m a single mom now and I’m looking for another apartment I was so focused on making sure we have enough space for me and my 1 year old son. So focused on a 2 bedroom but my pockets at the moment can’t afford a 2bed lol! And that’s OKAY!! Sooner than later I will get that extra room for my child. I needed this thank you! But I really am blessed to have a rent this price and I dont want to leave and pay double. And I got a knew job with a big pay increase. So Im like maybe we should stay and make the best of it. I want to save to be a home owner but sometimes I feel sad that my son might be grown by the time I buy my forever home. Sigh. #singlemomproblems i guess. But this video is inspiring.

Awesome, good for you guys. Our family moved from New England to the west in okc, there was an adjustment we had to make from a tiny 120sq space when we had our girls. They are only 14months apart so it was doable. Then we moved to a two bedroom that was so much wasted space and money because we still all slept in the same bed. Now we are back in a smaller room that allows us to be connected. Society needs not to seprate from their babies, kids are more adjusted in shared space with a stronger connection to their parents. Three wins, glad you are teaching about minimal living, debt reduction, and attachment parenting. Best- TGT

Yep, you can get a love seat sofa bed. I believe it's a full size let out bed. Or you can get a Murphy bed, and build a table under it. When it's up, you can let the table down. And buy two stackable chairs.

Are yall still in this apartment? If so just a few suggestions. You could get one of those futon bunk beds.Double bed on bottom twin up top.And you can put both boys up top by putting a board in place of the twin mattress. You could use an old crib, but just for the sides. So neither of the boys fall.Use the crib as railing.Maybe put some sort of divider to seperate the boys sleeping area from each other. You could secure the the crib rails to each wall and together in the corner where the rails meet.Put the longest side on a hinge so you can put the boys to bed.And a barn style sliding door for your bathroom may work,at least the toilet area.Or a pocket door.

I only lived in what I would call a tiny apartment once in my life (not counting my dorm room in college) and that was right after I graduated. +Kenita Renee I am viewing to get ideas because I am retired and selling and down sizing because instead of paying for the maintenance of a house or service change on an large APPARTMENT the money will be best spent for medical bill and extras to enjoy a good retirement. .living close to amenities, shops, doctors in case you can no longer drive. ..then you can walk and meet people. .look into shops and don't buy..of course in an area with good hospitals. ....I enjoy your video. .because it helps me to think purposefully. ...I do watch tiny space living because they are so creative. .thank you for sharing. ..God bless you and family. ...well done. ..wish I had the sense at your age...but then in the world system without Christ. ..we want or feel that we work hard and deserve everything. .forgetting that sickness. ..old age means higher maintenance in order not to be depending on others. .because all your friends are also ageing could be sick or gone....and you need money to have a reasonable life. ..cheaper to take a taxi than to maintain a car....thanks again. .bless you. .your baby is so cute

Love it. We live small as well we have two boys and we moved further east in NY so we got more square footage and a yard . I truly admire you and your family. You are doing things the right way most Americans dont understand the concept of living beneath your means! Or making sacrifices to have more in the future. We were approved for mortgage and chose to live longer in our smaller apartment so we can better plan for our future and live more comfortably.

I just downsize from a house to 750 square feet co op.. moving in soon. The kids are grown; and I got tired of living for a high mortgage and all that cleaning. Smart young lady.... Adorable Baby.. !!!

First of all, the baby is absolutely adorable! And second, I really commend you on your ability to be so organized and to pull this tiny living together the way you have! I think its totally awesome...not sure I would be able to do this with 2 young children, but wow, you are for sure an inspiration to a lot of people who could benefit from doing this, saving a whole lot of money! And like some others have commented, I will no longer complain about my living space, which is gigantic for one person!

Take it one step at a time, one day at a time. Great time to do that. When the kids gets older then you’ll be better able to afford more space. Long as you’re happy. You know what goal you’re trying to reach.

We’re living small too in a one bedroom economy. 4 of us as well. We came out of the shelter in NYC. I’m used to small living being from the city. You’re space is so nice! You really don’t need a ton of space cause it’s too much stuff. I lost so much and got rid of even more. It’s very freeing.

Kudos to you! I give you major props for being able to live in less than 200 sq. feet! Aaron is adorable! How about a pack-n-play for him to sleep in? You could fold it up in the daytime for more room. I hope you all get out of debt soon!

You guys are AMAZING, intelligent, resourceful, clutter-free (how is that even possible in this space with four people?! It says so much about who you are and the peaceful environment you've created for your family and each other). You're exceptional role models for your kids by learning how to and showing your kids how to tame the financial beast that can plague a family for generations. Also, this time in a child's life is precious (where many parents may not understand the critical significance of providing a peaceful and loving environment (no matter the size)...and the significance of QUALITY time spent as a family and the positive impact it will have on them for the rest of their lives. Your kids are fortunate to have parents more interested in clearing out debt to provide better futures for all of you, than to have parents who are just trying to "keep up with the Joneses". It shows your confidence, your trust in yourselves and your ability to have a little bit less now in order to reap the greater benefits a bit later. BRAVA & BRAVO to you and your family. + your baby is one of the cutest around!

For what its worth I'm very impressed. My family and I down sized as well (although not to your degree of aggressive commitment) in order to pay off debt. Now, after paying off debt, we all look back on that small apartment with fond memories. I promise you will meet the day where you wish you could be back in that small apartment with your young family for at least one more time.

I like tiny spaces and it is true you must save money so you can grow or make money. For me i found that when living in a small space, it helped to keep things extremely organized, clutter free and minimal. And plants make the space feel more home like. Murphy beds and trundel beds are great space savers...sometimes you can find them for free or you can do a trade... Your baby is adorable.

I admire y’all. I currently have a family of three, soon to be four. I wish I had the guts to downsize. We could save so much money plus appreciate the important things in life. My hubby and I have been talking about it a lot. There is a freedom that comes up with downsizing too. But you and your fam actually did it. And you make it look easy!

I checked your more recent uploads to see that you have moved on, congrats! I live in a 220-sq-ft microflat in downtown L.A. I'm saving up to adopt an embryo so I can be a midlife mum. Some of my people are outraged that I would dare to raise a child here. But it's comfortable and well kept.
When this building first opened ten years ago, several families with babies and small children were welcomed as tenants. The kids were always happy. I miss their smiling faces, they all moved out ages ago. Now the management 'just so happens' never to move in new tenants with kids, which is blatantly illegal.

I've seen several of these videos of families living in tiny spaces. It makes me think of the immigrants who crowded into small tenements. It's sad to me that housing costs in the NY area are so hideously high that families have to live that way. It's many many years ago but we lived in an apartment in the city that had 8 rooms and was $150 a month. We seem to always take steps backwards. I'm off my soapbox now to say that I give Miss Kenita so much credit for the loving way she has made a well organized cute little home for her family.
