Wow, that thing is complete. Sad to see it in a junkyard and not someone's shop being fixed up.

Thanks Carl! I do love walking around junkyards and checking out the cars, thinking of what stories they could tell...

Nice job with the video, about 50% of the time when I see a 240 at junkyard I am like 'why is this here'? i have seen some really nice ones and it hurts man...lots of good parts on that one

Thanks! I often think the same, and for the mileage this one was exceptional under the layer of yard dust/dirt. My guess is the A/T probably let go and wasn't deemed worth replacing, unfortunately.

That volvo 240 is solid. I believe a hot battery and some fuel, she will fire up!! ❤

I don't speak Swedish but thank you for watching. 240s are still surprisingly common here and are an everyday sight in the junkyards. Usually with very high miles and lots of use. Great cars!

These 240s. Are really strong cars thexengines could go over a million miles with the proper maintenance.

Good cars are constantly getting junked because of a too strict adherence to the belief that market value is the only thing that counts. It is part of consumerism, this planned obsolescence.
