Part 2 is live!! Linked in description talking about my top 10 tips for newbie couponers & the things I wish I wouldn't have known when I first started couponing!
I have been watching tons of youtubes trying to learn couponing and this was the first one that had actual steps to follow which I appreciate so much. Thanks so much, girl!
Thanks for the insight, Lexa. Will here. I'm a guy who shops for all of my friends (female) and my sisters. I've been couponing for a few years now and I wholeheartedly agree with you that CVS is a great place for a newbie to begin couponing. I have a small, private coupon group that I'm constantly giving pointers and deals to. I'm going to share this video with them so they can gain some additional knowledge and, hopefully, they will subscribe to your channel (just as I have). Peace!
I've been couponing for a couples of months. This is the first time I have REALLY truly understood the breakdown. It is simplistic and straightforward. I am a new subbie. Thanks!!
I've watched several videos before, but I have to say you've been the most convincing for me due to the simple way you've explained it. I love it! I already have few CVS coupons and can't wait to go shopping on Saturday. Thank u Lexa, I'll follow you now.
Wow I've watched sooo many videos so many hours and you are the 1st one that broke it down this easy! Thank you soooooooo much! I'm willing to make a video as well and help people coupon I've asked so many people and no one is willing to personally show me so I'm thankful I came across your video. God bless you!
I recently decided to start couponing mother of three so trying to save some money ! Loved your content thank you so much I feel like I have the confidence to start couponing 😎
OMG Lexa! The first thing I have to say is .... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair!! The blunt, short cut at the bottom and waves!! : ). Do you use a big wave crimper? I just found you today and love this video. Hoping you have more showing actually deals in the making! Thanks for the great info.
Hello I am new to couponing and I’ve using digitals for a couple of weeks but I was wondering if you could make a part 2 to the next step this video really helped!!!
Loved your video. You have a very charismatic way of presenting what believe to be complicated information. I am subscribing to your channel. You have one more fan!
I enjoyed this video and I think I will do exactly what you suggested. I just looked over your videos. If I was to do a RUclips channel it would be exactly like yours! Love!
Okay so I CAN print the coupons I have from PG and use them on a CVS trip right? That is what was tripping me up because the CVS coupons also say MFR on them so I assumed they were the same and I couldn't use them together. You are the first person to explain that the STORE coupon can be STACKED/ADDED to the MFR printable coupon! Thank you SO MUCH!
I used to be into couponing back in the day, but then I fell off.. I only use target gift card deals right now.. I might have to try doing again I commented this on your “Budget Fail” video but not sure you seen it.. Not sure if I seen it on TikTok or Instagram, but we’re you still coming out with a “budgeting with a partner” video? You know I look forward to them all 💕💕💕
Oh no I’m sorry I missed it!!! Yessss we are! We actually filmed it and I was in the middle of editing and something happened with the footage. So we have to refilm when Lizz has time. But it’s on my list! I was soooo bummed
I’ve been watching Extreme Couponing, and my mom wants me to learn how to do it. My dad died back in September, and not to mention we could help out our church and animal shelters around here!!! Any tips would be appreciated!!!
The show Extreme Couponing is completely staged. It was taken off the air after real couponers lobbied to shut it down after it promoted coupon fraud and huge amounts that no store would allow in reality. With that said, you can save a lot of money legitimately by doing it correctly and in realistic amounts.
New subscriber here! Thank you for this video! Btw just want to ask if I have to have a physical ExtraCare card? Or can we use mobile now long as you have an ExtraCare card number? Thanks
Are there specific Sunday papers I should buy to get the best coupons or are they all the same? For instance this Sunday I got the P&G inserts but really wanted the smart saver and wasn’t sure where to find it. Can you do a video on the insert schedules?
Are the coupons on the stores app, say walgreens? All manufacturers coupons? And can not be stacked with paper manufacturers coupons from the Sunday paper? It's still a bit confusing...
Good information. My mom used to use coupons all the time. I hardly use them… I’m going to start using them for now on. I need to buy the Sunday newspaper right ?
Our dollar store sells the Sunday paper which has the manufacture coupons in it! But also if you don’t want to buy the paper, you can print coupons from coupons.com, or honestly now the Walgreens and CVS app have TONS of digital manufacturer coupons!
Let me tell, I finally went to CVS, had all the MFR clipped on the app. Went to pay, to tell you the truth I didn't see much of the savings. I can actually find those same items at Walmart for a better retail price and using the coupons I saved much more than what I did at CVS. I'm about to return them all. And maybe I'm doing something wrong, I'm a newbie and also a bit slow, so probably I'll wait for another ad. Just wanted to share.
I want to get into couponing and have been watching a ton of videos, I agree with what you're saying!...the extreme couponers rely SUPER heavily on CVS bucks..enough to have turned me off of even getting into CVS :/
If it’s available to you, Walgreens pickup is where it’s at! That’s pretty much my main form of couponing. You get all the same deals and coupons through the app and can order curbside pickup. AND most prices are actually better on the app than in store. Sometimes it’s a difference of like $3-5/item
Definitely recommend the Ibotta app! They offer cash back at Walmart (in person or online grocery delivery). No need for paper coupons! I also love Fetch Rewards, which you can scan every receipt for cash back!
I use a 1.5" (ish) curling wand! I posted a very low quality tutorial on my Instagram highlights a while ago that you can still watch!! It's not great production wise 😂 but it shows you the gist of what I do. It's sooooo easy once you get the hang of it! That's why I curl my hair instead of straightening it!
@@TheAvocadoToastBudget do you use any product?! Idk why but my hair has never been good at holding style, as I've gotten older I've come to learn that dirty hair is better and a good cry shampoo definitely helps wasn't sure if u had anything specific to keep it holding its shape!! Its beautiful you do a great job def gonna check out that video! You should do an updated one on here and talk about couponing tips or budget tops and tricks so people that wanna see how its done can, and people who prefer your usual content can still get their fix! Lol
If you have extra care buck.... do you use it before or after the coupons? Because sometimes it will say you have to spend a certain amount... if I use coupons first, it will bring my total down.
Okay so I *think* I understand the question. But just in case I’m going to answer in 2 parts 😂 If you’re wondering about deals like “spend $20 get $5 ECB”, the “spend” amount is BEFORE coupons but AFTER store discounts. So if an item is usually $7 but on sale for $5 and you have a $2 coupon, it would count as $5 toward your spend deal. And you can use ECBs on spend deals and still receive your ECB bonus! It helps to think of ECBs as gift cards! If you’re wondering about how to know how many ECBs to use: It’s a little tricky because you have to already know what your total will be after coupons to know how many ECBs to use. That’s why I recommend starting with 1-2 deals at a time! Because the register won’t show your total after coupons until AFTER it’s factored in any ECBs. (AKA you have to specify how many ECBs you want to use before completing the purchase). And at CVS, you CAN’T split up your ECBs into smaller amounts. So if I have a $10 purchase and $7 in coupons, it will still show the $10 when they ask if I want to use any ECBs. So if I get confused and THINK my total will be $5, but my total after coupons actually comes out to $3, and I used a $5 Extra Care Buck, it won’t give me any money or ECBs back. So I essentially only got $3 out of my $5 ECB. I really hope that’s not too confusing and makes sense 😬 I hate using tons of numbers, but I hope in this case the numbers helped to explain rather than making it even more confusing.
Just don’t get so caught up in couponing that you wind up with a home full of stuff you don’t use. Years ago there were videos of a woman who did it to the extreme.

How do you scan receipts when it’s digital and your using your phone with ibotta?
I like digital better. I have MS. The more I try to keep up with is usually a disaster.
Digital is my fave!!! I honestly never use paper anymore. There are so many deals that never require a paper coupon!
Can you use cash bucks to pay for items? How do you do that?
Are there specific Sunday papers I should buy to get the best coupons or are they all the same? For instance this Sunday I got the P&G inserts but really wanted the smart saver and wasn’t sure where to find it. Can you do a video on the insert schedules?

You give me Hilary Duff vibes, great video!
You should watch Nana the couponer. She is one of the best at insert couponing
Good information. My mom used to use coupons all the time. I hardly use them… I’m going to start using them for now on. I need to buy the Sunday newspaper right ?

I have 1 question, is there a way to use the "printable" coupons if I don't have a way to print them out?
Questions. If I will buy 1 products and I have $3 coupons and the price of the products is let's say like $5 . Can I use 2 coupons on that ? Thanks
Do you use more then one coupon to buy more things.
Thank you…!
How can get any inserts?
How do they figure out the deals? I think that’s the hard part. I tried to do some myself n ended up losing money 😅
Where do gyiu order coupon inserts.
With COVID going on what are some ways to coupon online for the ones who dnt want to go in the stores

I made an outline of this 4 years ago.
My problem is we have no Sunday paper and basically the only store in own is Walmart.
Definitely recommend the Ibotta app! They offer cash back at Walmart (in person or online grocery delivery). No need for paper coupons! I also love Fetch Rewards, which you can scan every receipt for cash back!
