- The long awaited fractional gold notes are here! We've been excited for these for a while! The Goldbacks are notes with their own denomination of "goldbacks" from 4 of the states in the United States which have become increasingly popular around the world. These notes contain real fractional gold, and they're a super interesting bit of flavour to add to your stack! They ARE an expensive way to do things in comparision to some lower premium items, and Michael goes through this in the video!
THERE ARE SOME SPECIFIC SHIPPING AND PICKUP RULES FOR THESE ITEMS SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE VIDEO/READ THE LISTINGS TO UNDERSTAND. Thank you!

We've also got an interview coming up with the company that makes these awesome notes, which was recorded back in Berlin for the World Money Fair! So keep an eye out for that too!
Adam from Valaurum or Jeremy from Goldbacks?
I absolutely cannot wait.
@@badhammy Adam!
I'll be 100% honest here! This is genius ✊ Power to the people if you will. I have just recently purchased 4 of these awesome notes from you guys in the last few days and have been self researching about the whole thing. In my eyes this is just as good as purchasing Bitcoin in a way! And it made me think quite a lot if we could do this in Australia it would be so great for the people that understand money and for those that do not wish to hold fake downgrading money like our diminishing dollar! I will certainly keep buying these Goldbacks as I'm done with the Fiat system and done with the corruption that comes along with it which is absolutely disastrous in this day and age with everything that has happened and with everything that is about to unfold! I live in little old Tasmania and care greatly about our future and have felt different from a very early age in life about life itself! My eyes and heart have told me something is not right for many years now and this is absolutely genius in my opinion ✊👌🇦🇺 Power to the people ✊
Absolutely love them, it would be nice to see you guys keep getting them in as i alone will definitely be stacking these beautiful notes 👌✊🇦🇺
What’s your buyback price on these Micheal? I’ve got a few thousand of various denominations if interested?
Great variety to get in. Love the statement and artwork. I’ve got myself a few and I intend to frame them and put them on the wall. It will be great learning for the kids and a great conversation starter for visitors.
Framing them and putting them on the wall is a great idea
Goldbacks were not invented and designed to be collector's items to just be "stacked"; they were designed to be used and spent as real money in normal everyday transactions.
I would have to actually disagree with this as i wouldn't spend my Goldbacks until it came to the point that i had too! Why spend gold when you simply dont have to but keep it as a fractional hedge again the crumbling dollar value! I think this is genius 👌🇦🇺✊
@@SilverPlatoon This makes sense. I actually don't buy them to hold anymore, but to back the currency I have deposited at Alpine Gold Exchange. I'll have the Goldbacks sent to me when I see that I really need them to actually hold and spend.
I ordered three lots of the set of four. I think they are fantastic. What a joy to have!
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
@@journeyman6752 have you got any flavour in your stack
Have you got a stack at all 😂 you seem really against semi numismatic stuff
Wow. Maybe a little spicy for my stack, but I certainly understand why some people would want them. Very beautiful. I would have thought they would have been sold through LCS though
I'm currently collecting every state series, year of manufacture, and denomination of goldbacks. Some of the particular ones are incredibly difficult to find believe it or not!
Like 2020 New Hampshires!
@@SmxreKing absolutely!
@@NayokeHenji would love to get one or a 2019 Utah but me personally, having some issues finding the 20' NH
Oh yeah there really risen in price, I’m glad I stacked these hard a few years ago when they were around $5aud for 1/1000th, have fun people there really cool to own.
Can you perhaps do a video testing the Goldbacks with the XRF? That would be awesome!
Just picked some up, been interested in these guys for a while
these are clearly very beautiful and will be a great conversation piece for fam and frens. But i do feel that they are more trouble/maintenance than they are worth from a storage and future sell point of view. I think there are better options in the market that can satisfy the "beauty" and "conversation piece" requirements for your collection but without the maintenance
Awesome excited for that interview I bought some of these
Goldback, Inc. makes a special GB wallet to put them in where they'll stay as straight and neat as when purchased.
I carry them in my regular wallet in my back pocket. Yeah, they get kind of a curve to 'em from it but, once in a while, I just flip 'em around, and it comes right out. They look fine and I carry 'em for weeks before they get spent. Never months, I've always been able to spend them pretty fast just by asking.
Goldbacks are the best attempt so far in returning to sound money, i.e. gold & silver. Under the U.S. Constitution, gold & silver were the only things ever supposed to function as "money." The unlimited printing of paper fiat currency since 1914 is the reason the U.S. now has a 32 trillion dollar debt. Goldbacks can be spent anywhere in the world where they can be bartered and are willing to be accepted. Gold is gold anywhere on earth, and has been recognized as true money for over 5000 years.
Can you get the silverbacks ?
Haha I won a few from silver dragons!! There So cool!!
Hey Kayne cool to see you here. These guys are one of my favorites.
Rather buy them in person than pay shipping since its not worth it logistically to pay that extra .
While there is the point of shipping theyre pretty looking and worthwhile some day.
Ive seen the US market and there is a big demand for them .
In the States I always buy some Goldbacks with my order with my silver. I have loads of Goldbacks, and have a wallet for them. I use them to purchase items in stores in Utah. This is a currency that will be prevalent when the fiat money dies. Goldbacks are used daily in stores and save to strengthen your economic situation. I prefer them compared to paper money.
I got mine in a photo frame they look great
I started an experiment on my channel where I am carrying a single Goldback in my wallet to test to see how well it holds up. So far it has been holding up a LOPT better than I expected. :-)
The interesting thing it they are NOT AT ALL fragile. I need to do a video update on the condition of mine. :-)
American here. US law allows people to barter with gold and silver, as long as it's produced in the US. However, a few states have laws declaring gold and silver legal tender and some have gone so far as to state that it's not taxable. The states on the bills are all states that have laws protecting gold and silver as legal tender.
I suggest (if you can't get a hold of the specifically designed wallets for them), use comic book bags with backing boards if you want to store them
Love gold but don't quite "get" these. But sure.. interesting concept. So are individual states issuing these as "currency"? Or is this yet another "Hutt river" (albeit US version) type of thing?
The goal of goldbacks in the U.S. is for alternative or parallel economy use. In Utah, where I live, there are approximately 500 businesses that accept goldbacks as legal tender. I expect there to be 20+ states that issue their own artwork within the next several years. Time will tell.
You should team up and do an Aussi series.
Goldbacks are the future!!
All WYOMING and UTAH nearly sold out now
Are you going to use gold backs as trade, even that Australia does not have their own.
Now we need these at the gold conference
They'd be a bit slippery on the BUM in a SHTF .situation.
Love the helmet
Interesting - not for me as a stacker but nice to see something different.
Hey are the goldbacks getting sent in like a cardboard envelope like the Pamp certificates
Is it free credit card fees since bank transfers for 9.50 would be like spam for your team to sort out
Yes, I believe that's how dispatch is getting them out. Also, would always recommend a straight transfer instead of a credit card to save on fees! Works better for both of us.
Ok I’ll order one thanks guys
8:52 Actually, you will find that the GB is extremely sturdy. While it is not preferred that they are bent, someone put up a video of a goldback that sat in a typical folded wallet for 9 months. Yes, it didn't look good at all but it had lost none of its gold. Many people have testimony of trying to rip one of these...they can't. The only reason to not want any marks or creases on one of these if you intended as a collector's item to store for many years, otherwise they are meant for daily use just like cash.
Regardless, so happy to see the interest in Australia. As the CEO has mentioned, technology has solved one of the issues of using gold in small denominations so now they can be distributed like cash and hopefully we can start building a large culture of sound money.
Also what years are these goldbacks? I know the recent ones have different artwork and a few other things to the originals?
@@journeyman6752 you just think goldbacks are a gimmick… maybe they are, but at least I doubled my money on them in only a couple of years, and who knows the original ones like I have might even have higher collector value aswell.
I've seen updates artwork on the Wyoming Goldback. I suspect that over time the originals will have a higher value. Time will show.
When I show people the Goldback they really are interested in them here in the States. People who support parallel economies are the early adopters at the point.
@@danielbbq yeah there very interesting, hopefully they become more mainstream because the US dollar is going down the drain.
@@danielbbq fingers crossed :)
I think they cool af 😎
You need them in the plastic note sleeves
FYI - If you are in the U.S. and have damaged Goldbacks they will trade them for new, crisp goldback.
Saw these on an infowars Greg Reese report...
Spend spend spend thry are designed for commerce. The exchange rate today is $4.10 U.S. if you trade them below that rate you will be doing just fine. These are a fractional gold barting tool not only great for barting but also great for a disaster scenario.
Can we write a statement in the order notes, saying we accept the risk of damage during shipping and BN has no liability for gold backs being damaged, if we put them in storage? win/win.
Exactly because goldbacks are so durable it’s not funny, they don’t damage as easy as Micheal is thinking they will, I’ve carried a few around in my wallet for over a year and they still look brand new.
@@melbournestacker I was just going to order one, so didn’t really care how it arrived and didn’t wanna pay more than the note just for shipping. But I ended up just buying a set of 4 and by that point, what’s $10 shipping haha
@@urbanaerials5614 haha true true, enjoy mate there very cool!
@@melbournestacker yeah pretty keen to see what these things look like in person, seen them everywhere online for ages. Would be cool if BN got the silver dragons silver backs in too
Yeah I’d buy silverbacks but if I’m buying gold at least a decent amount haven’t got any gold atm
Yes i saw them on the website but they where password protected
10 Bucks shipping thats fair, I got some after I herd That ,Other wise i woudn"t of bothered , Not that Normal shipping is that much more , More of a Mental Thingy Cheers
Nice artwork
Gold backs are even dumber than I thought
Interesting items
10:01 the dark side? Do you mean collectors?
I THINK that's what he meant? It might have been a confession though... We'll have to keep an eye on him.
Fully fungible 🙃 maybe in America
Very cool
Nah! Nice designs but really are a gimmick and premiums are ridiculous. I got rid of mine over a year ago.
Will bullion now get the wallets for the goldbacks?
Not for the foreseeable future, Michael said he did take a look at getting them for a while, but I don't think his search was overly successful.
@@BullionNow thanks BN looking forward to seen them for the first time irl 😊 can’t wait for Australia to make there own 👍
@@BullionNow do you just send them out in cardboard envelopes with aus post or toll because toll don’t get my signature ever and just leave the parcels out the front of my apartment
Goldbacks are gold currency .. your not supposed to stack them. They are meant to be an alternative to fist paper money. Gold coins, bullions are meant to hedge against paper money.
Nice :)
Not for me
Who writes up the "additional info" on your website listings? It's been irritating me for a while. For example on the 50 goldback is 1/20th of a troy ounce. The listing states, "Metal Weight 50/1000oz", which sure, is 1/20th, but come on. Then with the coins, like for example a 1/10th rabbit is listed as "3.5 g". Is this with the capsule weight included so people can figure out shipping? Sure, interesting idea, but completely out on a limb compared to how every major online dealer lists the weights of their items. And how about some more detailed information. Like diameter (in case you want to get a capsule for it), actual coin weight, denomination, etc /rant off.
Totally fair point, you're right the weight's exist in there more-so for the shipping weights. It's data we didn't have listed in quite the same way in the old system, so it's made certain things a lot easier for us! Personally I agree it doesn't explain itself super well, so I'm hoping it's something we can make more clear in the future. As for the additional details, absolutely think it's something we need to add!
@@BullionNow Cheers for the reply. All the best.
If you're in a state that accepts them, you can pay your annual income taxes with Gold.backs. they're legal tender.
People get hung up on the "premium," not realizing that the fractional utility of the Goldback-especially when, not if, a currency crisis takes place-more than makes up for the initial cost.
I completely agree. I'm behind these 100%>. My regret is Goldback and Valaurum are not publicly traded and I can't buy some stock. lol
"THIS IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE".
