- In this video we're going to be explaining the four different graces: Tornado, Ocean, Flash, and Sunshine.
These graces are possessed by the Four Archangels and Escanor.
We go over everything from how they work, how they compare to the commandments, and any additional information surrounding them.

It's really killing him in the manga. He's coughing blood after using it against Chandler, Cusack, and Zeldris. Just to battle the Demon King, he borrows the Grace from Mael one last time to save his friends. We still don't know what will happen after the fight and he returns it to Mael.

The fact the he was originally Mael, the Strongest of the Four Archangel was the reason for him to be able to survive Sariel and Tarmiel's attack. In chapter 276, page 5, Sariel mentions this, saying that "this explains why our light magic didn't work on you..." Also, of course him absorbing a commandment helped him break out as well. Great video nonetheless, just pointing something out.

that's not the point... what matters is that his body was of a goddess hence why the light magic from the "Divine Wrath of Enlili" didn't absolutely destroy him.
Even without a commandment or grace he is still crazy strong. Drole without a commandment is as strong as current diana, who is relative to king. Zeldris without a commandment but with a portion of the demon kings power can one shot Drole. Mael with no grace or Commandment is still stronger than Zeldris with some of the demon kings power, as shown against Meliodas, and stated by Cusack

It was explained how he lost his grace miel was brainwashed and handed a commandment which in turn caused him to lose his grace and escanore was born with the grace sunshine it activates later in his life because it adapted to his body :3

Escanor can use "The One" for a single minute at noon when the sun is at its absolute highest.
As also mentioned in the manga he can't control sunshine entirely so he generally fights on his own away from everyone else to keep himself from accidentally blasting his allies along with his opponents.
The assumption regarding the comparative power-levels of the graces vs commandments is pretty spot on.
Since several archangels have stated they hold twice the power of a commandment (compared to 2,5 in your estimate), which has been consistent with what we've seen, save for Estarossa for obvious reasons.
What if Escanor and Mael’s hair was originally brown but since their grace is based around the sun their hair went from brown/brunette to blonde

while each grace is more powerfull than a commandment some are greater than others such as flash and Sunshine.
We already learned in the manga how Mael lost Sunshine. How/why Escanor got it is still open. Spoilers for how Mael lost Sunshine below.
When Gowther messed with everyone's memories, he took Meliodas' Love commandment and pushed it to Mael while removing his Sunshine grace. We know Gowther was likely the strongest magician around so it's not such a leap of logic to assume he could do that, or make the Supreme Diety & Demon King do it (while they are under his mind control). This might also explained why he needed even part of doll Gowther's magic power (in addition to his own life) to pull it off.

Heratran Pretty much nothing is known. Tarmiel and Sariel are seemingly best friends. Mael was incredibly weak as a child, unable to even kill a fly. He was laughed at and hoped to be like his older brother Rudociel. Mael progressively became stronger, later becoming the strongest of the Four Archangels. He came to love Elizabeth, despite her not feeling the same way. Rudociel promised Mael that Elizabeth would be his one day, but any hopes Mael had from that likely fell to shatters when he followed Elizabeth one day to find out about her live affair with Meliodas.

Breath of Bless: Ludociel gathers light in his palm to create a heart-shaped symbol and after blowing it over his desired target, they get a magic power boost. The Demon Clan refers to this technique as Cheat Hope 「literally "Scam Light"」 because it is also a brainwashing spell that turns the targets into fanatical zealots loyal to the Goddesses with no regard to their injuries so they may keep on fighting until they're broken and dead.
Grace:Flash「Senkō」 is the Grace possessed by Ludociel of the Four Archangels.
Ludociel has been bestowed a Grace by the Supreme Deity known as Flash.This power allows Ludociel to move at immense speeds which appears as a form of teleportation.

I don’t think Ludociel needs to travel faster than light, I mean, just with 1% of the speed of light he could travel 2,997,924 m/s, meaning he could travel a distance of let’s say 5 meters in 0.0000017 seconds, literally faster than a blink of an eye. That said theoretically, with flimsy, not detailed maths, he could exert about 88,000,000,000,000 Newtons of force in a punch (if we calculated this with a boxer level punch of 5,000 Newtons). I mean... he could devastate anyone... the equivalent of an 21 kiloton of TNT atomic bomb in each fist he delivers. My math may be wrong but JESUS Ludociel could be STRONG af.
I think he is probably lightspeed as the name ''Flash'' suggests, As it doesn't show the characteristics of lightning which could've been it's other meaning. Galand instantly escaped several miles out of Merlins range. That feat alone puts him almost at least half the speed of lightning since 320k feet per second = 60 or so miles in 1 second and several miles let's say is 12. Instantly would be half a second so that's 24 miles in 1 second he would be able to move. There are many if and buts but this was just an example. Of course lightning is hardly close to the speed of light but considering how much of a power gap even 10k power level gives in the series, it might be possible for some of the top strongest characters to be able to reach that kind of speed.

he is able to move fast enough that the reflection of light off of his skin is still there. so either he is moving instantly through teleportation or he is moving faster than the speed of light, since the image is shows us two separate instances of light having bounced off of the characters skin.
or maybe it's all illusions, who fucking knows. either way. yea being able to move 1% the speed of light has a fuck ton of force behind it... but so does moving at 115% the speed of light... in fact 13,225 times more force if i'm not mistaken.

I think rose is the deity of the 4 graces and because the former owner of sunshine became a 10 commandment the deity goddess had to look for a new owner she found escanor and in the anime in escanors flash back before we see him useing his power to kill the monster the last person we saw was rose and she was also the person to help him escape I only know this from the anime and not from the manga so I don't have to much evidence

it's interesting that the author did not rely on pre-existing angel names for the four archangels, except for Sariel, who is an angel of death, and Mael, that reminds of the archangel Michael, even because of his connection to the Sun.

To be fair, the angels are generally just... passively a lot stronger than humans, so it could likely just be an Escanor thing due to him being naturally weak. It was even brought up as a point in the Sunshine video's editing. Mael likely just became gradually stronger than his already powerful base as the sun rose.

In order to become the one he doesn't need to use them a whole lot of power out of nowhere. In order to become the one you just have to wait until the sun is highest in the sky and he chooses to activate it.

Sariel has been bestowed a Grace by the Supreme Deity known as Tornado「Tatsumaki」. He uses it to create a wind-like sphere around him, which he uses for defensive purposes that shreds anything or anyone trying to get close to him into pieces, even individuals with regenerative powers He can also produce powerful gusts of wind to slice through or blow people away.
Techniques
Tsunzaku Kamakaze 「 literally meaning "Cleaving Sickle Wind"」: Sariel creates a large crescent-shaped wind blade to cut his opponent in half.
Combined Techniques
Enlil no Tenbatsu「literally meaning "Enlil's Divine Punishment"」: Sariel and Tarmiel combine their Graces to create a huge lightning bolt that falls on their opponent between the ocean and a tornado.

Well we saw 2 things that suggests it (flash) is time related as moving at those speeds would cause much more destruction between where he starts and ends as well the speed doesn't have to exceed light speed at those distances he just needs to move faster then the human demon and Angel's eyes can perceive not necessarily faster than light itself

My theory is that since Mael/Estarossa (I prefer calling him Mael because Estarossa is legit the name of Meliodas’s dog) gained his memories back, his blessing might slowly be going back to him. The reason Escanor wasn’t getting torn to shreds before was probably because of the Supreme Deity’s divine protection but after seeing Mael turning back into his original self, the Supreme Deity is probably taking that chance to take back Mael as the strongest archangel alive.

I will say this: the commandments don't give a power boost unless you have more than one. Drole and Gloxinia have shown to be extremely strong before and after they gained a commandment and Gowther showed no change in gaining Selflessness. The Archangels that have actual physical boosts are the ones with the Grace that specifically does so; Flash and Sun
Also, we can infer Sunshine left Mael when the Gowthers used a spell to make everyone think Mael is Estarossa

So moving so fast that there’s an afterimage is not necessarily moving at the speed of light or even close. An afterimage occurs if something moves faster than the eye’s refresh rate. For humans, it’s about .1 seconds to refresh and .25 seconds to refresh and respond. Nobody knows how fast the refresh rate is for any of the angels or demons, so the speed is unknown, but if it were the speed of light, each kick would generate the heat of the sun and go through anything.

Bending Light and color to make you appear somewhere else.
Creating Litteral Flashes.
Condensing the heat in light to use as a weapon.

It would only have to be faster then you could see so the speed is much lower only about 17,500 meters per second with maybe a little additional for the distance covered. Assuming it is the speed of light just because they appear behind the person doesn't make sense. It is only faster then they can react, so it is speed of sight along with speed of reaction, both of which are much slower then light.
