I found 10 glassy babies at one of the local Goodwills. They clearly didn’t know what they are because each was only $2.99. That was right after Christmas 2023. I snatched them all up and cleared over $700.
Good for you!
Awesome
Why is the glassy baby worth so much ..... ?
What are glassy babies?
@@shilohbreigh3591 Google it. They are a type of candle holders.
The name to look for in lamps of this style, other than Tiffany of course, is Bradley and Hubbard. These can be in the high 3 digits for fair condition, thousands for good and stupid money for excellent. B and H also made a variety of metalworks, including picture and mirror frames.
😅😅😅😅😅😅❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lol
I believe the CLL knows her lamps!
@@wendy-diannwendy-diann8060
I didn't say anything about her knowledge. I make my comments to add information concerning the items found to add to the background of the piece and to share knowledge that isn't always stated by CCL. I don't disparage her or anyone else by doing so. If your intent is to throw shade on me or my comments, I'd advise you to not do so. Adding an exclamation point to your comment does not look well on you.
@@danielclaeys7598I do appreciate comments like these. Not all of us have CLLs knowledge. Thank you…I’ll look out for those
I get social Anxiety. So I go to thrift stores and the bins to work on being around people. I practice tuning people out while I look at stuff. The crowds don't bother me, it's when people stand too close. Makes me claustrophobic. So I'm working on that and it's more fun thrifting through my therapy lol
It sounds like you're doing very well! I had a lot of social anxiety when I was young, but in my old age Ive finally grown out of it. But still, I wouldn't even go into a place that crowded unless my life deoended on it. 🌺
I haven’t watched you for awhile, I.m seventy seven years old. I don’t get out much anymore, these kind of programs help a lot, it makes me feel like I’m shopping. Thanks grandma George 😢
Totally did not expect that beautiful bird when looking at the bottom of that plate. But when you flipped it over, I audibly gasped!
You were fairly close to where I live, so exciting to think you were in my stomping grounds! I’ve been to that Goodwill, but not lately. So nice you have been able to find some treasures in our state! Happy travels, Jocelynn. ✌🏼😂
Strange off beat questions. Do you still have your dog? I haven’t heard anything about him in awhile. Love watching you and have learned so much.
I'm proud of you, the way you stuck it out with all of the crowding in that store! I also dislike crowded stores, there can be so many rude people and people that do not know a persons personal space. I love that clear dome or cover, and I think Kate with love the little dopey clown.
Ugh I don't like those metal plate hangers. A lot of the time they chip the plate under those little prongs.
ThVera Bradley mug in the box might have been a great thing to keep on hand as a gift!
I think the glass dome is a cheese dome and it might have a wood bottom.
👏the creepy jester doll!👏
I had that stuffed clown as a child. Late 60s early 70s
I had to laugh about the toaster oven. We have used only a toaster oven for many years, no regular toaster. When my brother used to visit he was always dazed and confused about it!!
Didn't you find that clown spooky? I expect if you like 🤡 clowns then that's okay. I've always found them awful lol
😅😅my MO.s toaster o en is confusing !!! TOO
I’m so glad you made it to Clermont Goodwill. One of my favorite stops on my way to Orlando! I was going to Renningers until the nasty weather kicked in. Nice finds and hopefully I will meet you and the gang one day!
I live in Bethlehem pa but used to live in clermont fl so I’m really enjoying ur fl videos
The last 3 times I have been thrifting, it has been so crowded that you can't stop and look because everyone is pushing you. I get overwhelmed with so many people, too. Today, they were using a strong cleaning solution and were cleaning the shelves on senior day no less. ...ok my rant of the day is over😮
I was tempted to take a picture of the shelves at my local GW this week just to show the junk that Northeast Ohio has to choose from.
I agree with you on toasters. My cousins toaster oven takes forever, and then the bread just seems sort of warm and not toasted!
I like the little pig on a nest covered dish @0:52. Great finds!
I love to watch shopping with you 🤩
That elfy clown is creeping me out with its' stubby arms😆
So exciting to see you at one of my GWs. Clermont and Winter Garden, off 50.
Fingers crossed for a glassy baby! Ooo that big jewelry box is exactly what I've been looking for to bad i live in montana lol
I have been to this goodwill, a friend lives near by. The shelves are always jam packed…it’s glorious😂
Welcome to Florida!!! Lady lake good will is really great for vintage glass and pottery. Over priced on a lot but can still find a great deal.
Have you been to the Citrus Tower in Clermont? When we went decades ago all you could see was the groves.
A whole new world of treasures!
OMG..the noise in that Goodwill!😂
I think you have better Goodwills up around home.
Love the bird plate. Liked that unusual decorated bottle.
Loved the video ❤😊.
I saw 2 milk glass mason jar canisters!! Lucky. I am always looking for those.😂
Great finds 💖 SW Florida here 👋Hope you had a good trip 😊
I bet having dinner with that group is fun!
I got one of those nativity dishes for free, not worth much, but very nice!
Good finds today Jocelyn!
Everyone have a very blessed day!
That glass doom thing you were were looking at, is a plate cover for food.
I liked that banana leaf tray.
Pretty decanter at the end. 😊
I use a toaster oven often. Once you get used to it, it is pretty easy!
Central Floridian here.👋 Unfortunately, many of our Goodwills seem to ALWAYS be like that. Maybe it's just the central Florida area, but with the influx of people moving here, the traffic has gotten so bad just getting to a thrift store and then you have to deal with the traffic inside the isles of that thrift store.🤦♀️ And yes, you don't just find Disney sized lines in the theme parks, they're at our local goodwill's checkout too! You'd think we'd be use to it.😅 With the price hikes, I often weigh if it's worth my sanity anymore.🤪 Thanks for the video!💕
Wow! What an ordeal. Way too many people and carts. As for toaster ovens, a good one like the one I have is easy to use. My regular oven doesnt work properly, so I do all my toasting and baking in the toaster oven. 🌺
I love the pig on a nest at 16:55 😊
Love the lamp is Tiffany style beautiful
I have that dragon fly lamp! I vought mine st a consignment store for 200ish about 10 years ago.
Girl you can find them containers with stoppers. I loved all the videos with your family. They all are so precious.
I saw some Oleg Cassini s&-p shakers. Pretty, but so small.
I left them because of you!
A claw machine is a great description for a thrift store, loooove it ❤❤
Cracks me up when people say your videos are staged😂😂😂. What? I guess you own the Goodwills in Florida too😂😂😂🤷♀️🤦♀️ I just tell them CLL knows her stuff ❤
The stuffed clown is from the 60s.....I loved seeing it in your basket....
I seen it the first time and loved it!! “The clown/vintage doll. So happy that you seen it the second time around. 🤡
You should visit Ocala, Florida Goodwill, one of the best and your not that far away!
❤❤Always love yr picks an d videos!! LOVE teapots- Really loved the blue! A ND I've. always. loved old dolls- THAT!! clown. doll is cute!!,LOL not scary!!!😅😅
The stuffed elf looks like the elves from a Christmas Story, Hurry up kid... ho ho ho.😂😊
Hall teapot and decanter top are good finds!
You were at MY messy and hectic Goodwill!!! I usually park my cart and walk the aisles.
That's when I go shopping in your cart. Nothing you can do about it either.
I keep an eye on my cart, there is rarely anything valuable in it though, at least not at that Goodwill...!@@robertmcdonald9987
Those blue faces in the beginning were awesome
lol that the Goodwill that I go to and rarely find anything good. Good Luck
So sorry it’s raining on your vacation. A friend of mine is attending a wedding at Disney & it’s pouring 😢
The best toaster oven and easy to use is Breville...
Nice finds and you managed to keep calm true the mayhem????
I do hope you find a Glassy baby its exciting when you do fine one. Crazy prices for them.
Congratulations on managing the toaster oven. I have one but always have to get one of the otherj humans in my house to help me. They use it every freaking day. Meh. I would also like to compliment you on the walking intro! We usually see you sitting in your vehicle, so it’s fun to see the new method! If I had to walk, talk, and film I’d probably break my neck. 😂
So did your family have a Muncie toaster? With the tray you just slide in? I kept mine and used it as long as it lasted, which was many decades! (although lucky I didn't burn down the house...)
The word for today is Chaotic!
Vintage pottery barn green palm leaf platter passed 3 times
I love the clown doll you got! it looks like a lot of the celluloid face dolls from the 1940's. I Collect them :)
that dragonfly lamp would have flown into my cart at the speed of sound
So excited to see the Masonic piece. Wish I could have that!
Great vlog shelves are definitely packed today! Thank you for always sharing awesome content ❤
That stained glass lamp sells for really good money and you missed a ton of Rae Dunn mugs just a little further on by the end cap. Not sure is they are M but worth a look. Man I couldn’t have lasted as long as you did. Props for digging in. Oh yes and that rubber face clown thing will haunt me in my dreams tonight 😱
I make wine and liquor bottles too give them to friends and family sometimes I sale them too.
Thanks 😊
That square glass was for honeycomb
My husband and I go out to lunch on Fridays, church and grocery shopping on Sundays. Otherwise, I don’t go out on the weekends. I could not have gone in that Goodwill.
I won't even do groceries on the weekend!! Sales start Thursdays and everything is sold out by Friday plus the crowds are just too much.
Plate had the Wisemen who came from a far to see the new born king.
Did you ever figure out the maker of the dome with the cloud handle? Looks cool.
Love the decanter 👍
I think someone donated a giraffe collection. I saw 3, including the dish you pulled out. I would've bypassed the goofy one, but I might've gone for the dish you put back, because I'm just THAT crazy about giraffes!
Loved that dish and I am crazy for flamingos!
My mom has that dragonfly lamp
I also have a favorite thrifter on the West Coast. She lives in Oregon and has quite a few glassy babies. They are fairly common in her area and in Washington. So, if you want one you need to thrift on the opposite side of the U.S. Just an FYI. Have a great time in Florida.
Thrifting here in Florida during season is….interesting. So many people that have absolutely no self awareness. Lol! Glad you found some great items. If that Jim Shore Captain Hook statue was in good condition, that would have been a good pickup. Although it was $81, it’s classic Disney. You would have had no problem making a decent profit from that.
The last time we went to the Clermont Goodwill we felt the same way. We ended up not buying anything because there were just too many people. 😅
I have the Hall teapot. I had given it to my Mom and now it resides with me.
I loved that Hall teapot ❤
We haven’t seen your birds lately! I hope they are fine!
This place sounded wild and crazy today!
Look at the lower shelves.
Sending love Ann uk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Hi Ann from the UK from Nelson, New Zealand 🇳🇿
Well now you can add "Using a toaster Oven" to your many talents!! Lol Good for you.
Jocelyn, The CLOWN!!!😂
I love the crystal decanter 💙🌸
Joselyn you are close to Tavares where it has a good antique shop. I cannot remember the name of
I saw that creepy clown the first time around. One of those was in my parents attack frowning up. Ick. 😅
Yeah I do not like clowns lol
I'm with you on toaster ovens, Jocelyn. Too complicated. Almost as complicated as the tv remotes at my daughter's house! Lol!
😂I go to my son's house hoping the little ones don't want to watch TV. I look at the remote and my eyes glaze over!
@@GTgirlerI just turned on my TV one day last week and the entire screen was asking for a password! Password??? What password??? It has NEVER had that screen appear on the TV screen b4 so you know Directv updated overnight and locked everyone out. I had to call my son and he had to put in the original password from when HE set-up the account for me. Uh, who knew??? LOL! Aaahhh, technology. Can't we just have OFF and ON anymore and you get a picture and then just go to the guide menu for all the other channels? Who cares about passwords on your TV?
Love overpacked stores with articles. Better prices
Jocelyn, when your voice fluctuates to almost a whisper and you talk fast it is hard to u daddy and you. I love your videos and don't want to miss anything you say. You sound like me when I'm talking out loud to myself. Lol
Turn on closed captions. Problem solved.
I have that dragonfly lamp
Hi Jocelyn 👋🏼 watching from all the way down in New Zealand 💙 I am 98% sure I found a piece of Bill Campbell out on my Op Shopping adventures the other day 🎉 it's a beautiful vase! And only $5nzd! I take my kids along with me like you, you have taught me SO much 💓 my daughter, Emelia, is only a week or two younger than Laurel 👶🏼
Good on you! What part of NZ?
So many people AND abandoned carts! You did so well to keep going, I would have run to the hills😂 thank you for the video 😊
I’m afraid I might’ve dug through those abandoned carts
The Doll you put in your cart, was there the first trip...
My boyfriend would like that Freemason dish.
Pottery Barn platter was miss if interested
I would have had a total meltdown with that many people in there. Yikes!
Me too
16:27 Um....that art pottery goblet candle holder looks cool. Did you see it?
