@@ozmosis1660 To be fair, Alex Caruso was developed into the player he is now thanks in no small part to the G-League.
He and Fred VanVleet are some of the only players in modern history to go from the G-League to getting a ring.
Not a lot of teams do this, because there's simply not a lot of players that can come out of the G-League and show the promise that Caruso did for the Lakers.
On top of all that, Caruso had been in the Lakers organization his entire career up until the point where he got traded to the Bulls. That includes the G-League, where he played with the South Bay Lakers (the Lakers' G-League affiliate) up until that first two-way contract got into his hands.
Make no mistake: Alex Caruso is a homeboy to the Lakers, and he'll always be- and the chip he got with them cements that.

That’s a team player who knows his role, knows his limitations and will just flat out play with effort and energy.

As a Lakers fan, its his hustle for the game that made him a reliable teammate. As a teammate he earned and worked hard wIth the Lakers to become part of a championship team. As a champion, teammate, and hustler he won the respect towards anybody whose seen him develop from G-League to becoming a great influential player. Hopefully he can return after his 4 contract with the Bulls or somewhere down the line in his career. He's a LAKER no matter what 💛💜🏀

He’s was undrafted, grinded in the g league, fought his way onto a roster, fought his way into a rotation, gained the respect of one of the best to ever play the game, gained huge fan base, became an important piece to a championship run where he even started in the finals. Oh yeah he’s also a champion. That’s not participating, that’s just hard work paying off
Deserve it Lakers G league believed in him gave him years to develop ended up playing so good in his stints and became a great role player for the lakers wouldn't surprise me if he comes back later down the line
