      The offside trap isn't a bad idea but it's hard to implement. You need 4 really organized players on your back line but the biggest problem of all is that you're at the mercy of the ref's ability to call offsides correctly. Traps are successful when the player is clearly offsides by some distance and it's obvious but if you try to do a trap when its close it's a huge risk, -unless you have VAR. After playing both styles I prefer not using the trap method because the element of control is in us, not the ref.
