If there is a next time, this video would have really benefited from a magnetic soccer ball. Instead of having to point at an imaginary ball they could instead be moving the ball around the board as it's passed from one player to another. A dry erase marker to show direction of movement would have helped as well.

Putting forward his philosophy that needs more tools and more intelligent players is a great thing, he's obssesed with football, he's a psycho. Need to see him coaching a big team that can resonates to his ideas, and to me the most ideal team for him is Manchester City. He'll make a very brilliant Pep successor.
One thing though, Yes his philosophy is great and doable but I haven't seen his in game and tactical tweaks to adapt against opponents that expose him more and make his game play vulnerable. He gets beaten up 4 or 3 nil and doesn't change a thing to salvage his team? Need to see him adapt to varying tactical situations.

Mehn...this is what I wish ETH was doing at manutd...To me the players don't seem to know why we make a certain pass or press a certain way. Its like lose the ball...press...maybe win the ball...attack....they win the ball...they attack..basically ping pong. Too much chaos and it happens for 90 minutes...every week...then ETH confidently says he sees progress. Crazy

I agree with you: the final part of the game (the finishing zone) is where players shine with their intuition and creativity, and it's tough for coaches to control that. On the other hand, the first two parts, especially the first zone where teams build up their play, are areas where coaching can have a bigger impact. Here, coaches can teach specific patterns, principles and opportunities that players can follow more easily.

Pep want all the team play like that so it will be easy job for him to dominate EPL 😂😂 He will sell his philosophy but he so smart because he will only choose club that provides him unlimited budget!! The BEST philosophy is to find a strategy to WIN based on your team and the opponent team strengths and weaknesses. Jose Mourinho is the master. Pep many times get destroyed by Jose. Prime Barcelona lost to Inter & Real Madrid then Prime Man City lost to worst Man United and Tottenham. Let say we change side.. Jose with Prime Barca and Man City team VS Pep with his philosophy with Inter, Real, worst Man United and Tottenham team..Believe me it will be worst than Brighton side that easily lost more than 3 goals every game 😂😂😂. Even Klopp is far away better than him..Its only took 4 years for Liverpool to become UCL champion with weaker team to build compare to Pep with City strong teams & after huge spending he took 7 years to win but without his philosophy because before that he lost to Tuchel Chelsea team in UCL final because of his philosophy 😂😂😂 then he forget his philosophy when play Inter in the final 😂😂😂 For EPL he can dominate because others team dont have 2 team like him when to face fatigue, injury & etc.. Still he got beaten by Jose worst United & Spurs team 😂😂😂
Ancelloti & Zidane philosophy made Real Madrid 5x UCL champions in 10 years 😂😂😂 What happened to Barca try to play Tiki Taka without Messi Xavi Iniesta Neymar Suarez.. To be Champions must have WINNING philosophy..dont get fool by in terms of modern football unless you dont have Winning mentality then OK.

Seen this in the recent Liverpool brighton game but he’d be no good for Liverpool. Starting with 6 at the back playing the ball fast and encouraging a press and then having overloads to quickly get out and attack the massive spaces in midfield and up front is great for a team like brighton at anfield. He wouldnt be able to do that at Liverpool because sheff utd or a sam allardyce side arent going to press us. They’ll just let de zerbi have the ball and drop so he’d need to completely change that mindset. There would be no space in the final third for his chess pieces. I dont like managers who treat it like a science.

Writing this comment at the point that he is not Chelsea manager yet (rumors): Come back to this comment in February 2025. Chelsea is with him in 10th place, concedes a lot of goals and just like Potter's team cannot score goals. He eventually gets sacked before February. These are very basic concepts that you can tell from watching one game, he's had plenty of matches in the PL for managers to see this
The difference in matches is how he changes the solutions during the match and how fast the players are able to recognise changes in the press
