Hi, Molton. As someone who has been exclusively playing the London, this is perfect for me. Thank you! One question: 11:12 Why does Qxd7 instead of Bxd7 avoid the Delayed Greek Gift Trap?
Waiting for more videos like this.... you should start uploading videos of opening repertoire for ppl like me under 2000 rating... your work is much appreciated 😇
Moulthon, two questions: 1) If black opens with C5, what happens if black takes immediately on D4? What should white do? take with queen or pawn or some other move? 2) at 12:10 in greek gift you did not cover what happens if black takes the knight on E4 with the pawn? That seems the most obvious yet you didn't cover it. Can you help?
thank you for video: If I may comment i spot it right away- on the 1st trap instead of taking the rook, B-d6 doesn't that trap the Queen right off? no engine work-- I don't use computers prefer on my own..your thoughts? thank you
@@MoltonChess Sorry, I meant a video showing how Black can avoid or defend defend against these traps that White tries to Spring in the London. A video from Black's perspective.
Also, what's my attack line as white for the following opening? 1. D4 Knf6 2. Bf4 c5 3. e3 Qb6 ? Seems there should be some good ones, especially if I'm willing to hang my rook to gain a strong attack. Thanks.
I prefer to play e3 instead of c3 and if Qb6 you can often just play Nd2 or Nc3 and sacrifice the b2 pawn. Worst case you can also just defend it with Qc1 but playing for the initiative seems for fun. This would look like one of the last traps where White took on c5
Hey you have a very bright future. I don’t understand why this channel is so underrated. Extraordinary content without flamboyance.
Thanks :)
The content on this channel is amazing! Very glad to have found it.
Thanks so much!

In one of the variations I think after g6 you can take the queen and hit the bishop.
@@MoltonChess I understand now. Thanks a lot.
Great channel man. Thanks a lot.

This video was great, thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful!

1. You almost always take with the pawn to keep your centre. 2. The queen is hanging on c5 I believe. So Qxc5
@@MoltonChess I'm sorry I totally forgot about the hanging queen. Thanks for responding anyway!
@@bryanrood3503 lol...I thought the same .....that's the difference between a gm and us ..
In trap 5; time stamp 12:13. Why wouldn't black take after Knight to E4 ?
Nvm he would lose his queen if took with the pawn
👍
Also why at 6:43 the black bishop would try to do this move to take the queen as he is not protected by anyone ?
It's a deflection since if White takes then the b2 pawn drops as also the rook
At 8:51, black queen isn't trapped if you play Bishop a3 ?
Same at 9:32 Bishop a3 and black queen escapes.
Yep queen escapes sometimes but the resulting position should still be very good for you
@@MoltonChess but whites lost a rook in their trap...

thanks for the info
No problem!
In 16:33 after Qxc6 what if king goes for e7 he can escape the trap right
Pls explain
Yes but you will win the a6 pawn at least
Very good, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
@@MoltonChess maybe can do the second part of new 10 traps, very instructive your way to teach.
at 8:08 you castle with black pieces but is it possible when white bishop on F4 is targeting B8?
Yep definitely, you can castle as long as your is not attacked on any squares while you do so
I love this video . Can you do the same for caro kann ?
Perhaps :)
Thanks a lot
👍
Wonderful video! Could you make one about how to defend from the London system from white’s perspective, please? Thanks!
Sure thing! I can have a look at a London for White

@@kmadan55 Sure I can do a Black System against London at some point
@@MoltonChess Thank you. That would be very useful.
Really enjoyed the video is there a PGN file we can down load for this video?
Unfortunately I don't have the PGN for this one but I can create a LiChess study for fututure ones
Nice!
Thanks!

Trap 6 has been messing me up with someone I know. Could you go further with this on how the London can best deal with this. Thanks
Just don't play 3.e3, almost anything else such as Nf3 is fine
YO. SUBSCRIBED. TY
Welcome!
pls do more london system videos
Noted yes it popular!
hi your helpfull and thank you
You're Welcome
and you helped me a lot so i am thankful
Thanks bro

Welcome :)
I finally found it! Your video helped a lot man. Come to think of it you are an otaku too right?
No worries glad it help. I like anime although haven't watched any new ones in a while
*Borat's voice* very nice yes
👍
In trap 2 why Black Plays Nc6 to block the Check when he can play Bd7?
He can play Nc6 but you can also play Nxd5 there also. If Qxb5 then you have the fork or Qa5+ is met by b4!
At 2:51, Nd6 wins the queen
Cheers!
you mean bd6?
nice
Thanks!
Does anyone know how to practice and remember all this?
Perhaps you could add it to a study on LiChess, I didn't create one for this. Then you can try them in your games and refer back if you forget
for the algorithm
🙏🙏
Bright individual yes, but much too fast
👍
Ill never be able to memorize all these moves lol
One trap at a time perhaps!
Now after this excellent video, they will be more lazy London players 🤦
Yes we may have to face against Londons galore!
