I knew the guys that made this lol. The same guys that made the 2142 map of Wake Island (Sir Community) also had this rock anthem on file. They let me borrow the song for my "Battle of Oman" short film

Great map, having a titan docked at port was inspired, you get some good fights around it.

Battlefield 2142 is still better and more fun than Battlefield 4 in every way you could imagine.
Thinking about the days i played this game is great but makes me sad at the same time.
+Eriktor Titan Mode is really special. They could earn big amount of new players and veterans If they resurrected this title. I still have a hope that this will be done soon...

+idz ik You could see that DICE realizes they have a gem when they added the carrier mode to BF4... I want them to revive this game, but I'm afraid that they are trying to stay as far from the overused future shooter as possible. The problem is that future shooters have all gone in the direction of fast movement, gimmicky abilities, and fast times to kill. Most of the games are just variations on the same formula. If DICE could reinvent the genre by forcing slower gameplay, they might be onto something.
Agreed 2042 is becoming like cod and fortine at the same time
I remember when I first patched BF2142 to the version that came with this map and joined a server that was running it, and heard this song while loading.

You can extract the directly from the musicfolder, which is usually located in
C:\Programs\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\ and the locate the zip-folder named "Sound_client.

Each and ever BF game after this was made in the console and then ported to the PC, it just takes out the fun from the game. Though I had loads of fun with this game I'm kinda skeptical about BF2143 after seeing how many problems many and my self have faced with BFBC2 and BF3.

When this map appears in BF4 (which it totally will) , I really hope they implement the "naval warfare" aspect into it fluidly, perhaps by putting a flag in the right in the middle of the islands basin. Forcing people too use the boats.

Pretty close to the actual island, just no bridges irl, and the real Wake Island is like 50 times bigger, but other than that, fairly accurate.
@AirsoftNuB16 My 1st time was the multiplayer demo of 1942. Put a Zero right into the water off the flght deck, i had the flight controls for my stick backwards.

@m14g my first Battlefield game...Battlefield 2142 The best there is, everything!! i remember those days i spent with my squad, the commander, and my favorite server, Tactical Gamer, that server is a dog when it comes to tactical gameplay, just beautiful

Ah the Battlefield theme... so many different versions! It's literally the only song you ever have to listen to! Get tired of one? Pull up another version lol. All are awesome... except for the Battlefield Heroes one...
@switchedeyes It's so awesome, it's been in every Battlefield game, with the exception of Bad Company and Bad Company 2 (although technically, Battlefield: 1943 used the Bad Company engine).

@kill3ruranium rooster teeth has a video about some of the decals on crates in battlefield say "2143" on them, and they mentioned that DICE did that for 1943 as well.
then again, this is the corporate machine we're talking about here. i doubt we've seen the last of 2142, or bad company for that matter.
