After surviving the removal of a brain tumour, Alex shares her journey of recovery with us. And how the love and support of her family and friends played an instrumental role in her healing process.

Gratefully took my phone to a fundraiser. There was a woman promoting brain tumor awareness.
Left her my phone to watch the video while I toured the galleries.
She especially loved the ending quote.. 'you are of the love you offered and freely returned'.

Ah Alex you beautiful brave wise soul. What a journey you have been on!. Your dolls are exquisite!!! When u said you just couldn't go into your studio I started crying, I felt your pain so deep. I love sewing, beading, crotchet, mosaic, embroidery ... especially the fine detailed work and about 4 yrs ago I broke both my arms and was put back together with metal plates and screws and a metal elbow joint. It took many months before I could hold a needle or crotchet hook again and that was more painful for me than the physical pain. It was slow and difficult but I started really healing when I started creating again. And i think it's because of love ... love from your tribe and loving what u do ... and that love sets off a ripple effect of love in everything .... within yourself and all around you. And it just carries on rippling. How awesome is that ??💙💜

This video is so moving to me. I have a dear friend who has played that song on piano and she has survived a great accident. That was over 10 years ago.A survivor with a TBI ( Traumatic Brain Injury) that used music to help her recover! So inspiring in this film. Thank you for sharing this!
