that might be the case, but that was basically ten years ago or so from what i already have seen on the internet if i look it up@@thestargatekingand i do think that some of the stations up on the Sunshine Coast line that could really do with upgrades as well, especially those with just a singular platform - even the stations between Lota & Cleveland should have a second platform
@@Enthusiastic-Trainspotter-BNE what do you mean 10 years ago? If you mean other stations being worked on there’s several still in progress right now and several more planned including Albion, wooloowin and every station from Trinder park to Beenleigh
@@davemail66 in the event a non toilet unit ends up towards Nambour they do a comfort stop at caboolture, makes the train late but I imagine with the 160 fleet being refurbished you can end up short every now and then
that there i definitely have experienced before@@thestargatekingbeen on a Nambour service without toilets being held up at Caboolture for at least five minutes or so, same with a southbound one
@@electro_sykes not every level crossing is a hazard that requires removal, if they were to remove it they would likely do road over which would be a seperate project (similar to the current project at Carseldine and soon coopers plains. You’d only bother doing something like Skyrail when you have several back to back to back level crossings which isn’t a common thing on the network.
@@thestargateking I would of personally done deep a cutting for banyo and replaced Banyo and Binda stations with a new cut and cover Banyo Station in between. Banyo level crossing would be hard to remove otherwise and its pretty dangerous.

The stabling yard would have to go but there are some nearby warehouses that could be demolished for that. that said, although it is quite dangerous, banyo level crossing acts as more of a local one, since many use northgate road overpass to get between southern cross way and sandgate road.

I can't believe that in 2024, QR are still running EMU's (with no toilets) on services to Nambour / Sunshine Coast
Don't worry. Once Nambour is paired up with CRR, they will only be able to run NGR (and eventually QTMP) trains.

@@electro_sykes yeah they arent going to remove banyo yard, it would be cheaper to do a road bridge over the train line than relocate a depot
